Can you take a screenshot of the interface when you log in? I’m one of those users where the system often doesn’t recognize as a Super Supporter, even when I’m logged in. I’m just wondering if my interface looks different diff from most others…
The “Wanted” thread shows up for me now. Otherwise, it never shows up. I’ve never actually understood how it had so much action from non-admin (but now I nkow).
@michael, @littleviolette: any idea why pinned threads don’t stay pinned for me? Not sure if it’s a MacOS? The pins don’t show up when I log in under Chrome, either (although they did show up in the anonymous interface).
It had been sit to “unpinned.” I was unaware that this feature existed, so I can’t imagine that I had manually set it to unpin myself. Oh, well. Whatever.
When a logged-in user read a pinned thread, the thread would be unpinned for that user. This explains why some of seasoned users don’t see pinned topics.
A thread can either be pinned globally or within a category. “Wanted” is pinned within the Marketplace category, whereas “READ ME FIRST” is pinned globally.
You should still be able to see the pinned “Wanted” thread in incognito when you go to Marketplace:
Yes, I moved a post from “Ask the Hackers” to “Wanted.” I intended to unlist the post from “Ask the Hackers,” but I accidentally unlisted the entire “Wanted” thread instead.
I had no idea what I had done until a few users asked what had happened.
Or maybe just not moderating late at night when they’re tired?
I’m sorry that I accidentally took away a thread you really like, but I honestly feel like you were being unnecessarily hostile on that thread and again now. I tried to handle your attitude diplomatically on the other thread, but apparently you still aren’t satisfied?
@littleviolette explained why I wouldn’t have been able to see a pinned thread after reading it, and so I’m not sure how I was supposed to know what I had done when the thread doesn’t normally show up for me.
You could’ve at any time asked me what had happened. You chose not to.
If you feel unhappy w/ what I’m doing, then it is what it is. I’ve never pretended to be the most experienced or the most knowledgable user here. And if @littleviolette and @michael don’t think I should be a TH anymore, I will respect their decision.
But I’d appreciate if you straightforwardly expressed your criticism, rather than being passive-aggressive. ::shrug::
You could have just explained your intention and left it at that. As I stated previously, the sorry/not sorry kind of stuff doesn’t really work for me.
But I appreciate you showing to me who you actually are.
I have nothing further to contribute to this thread and appreciate @forbs and @holeydonut alerting me to my error.
I “liked” both of your replies to my posts in “Help Wanted”, explained that it was a joke and said sorry. Yet, it’s still not enough for you? A thin skinned mod is not a good mod.
There was absolutely zero passive aggressiveness or critisism, trust me.
