We are in a VW lease assumption process in Illinois and most of the process is complete and my friend who is assuming my lease received the final set of documents from VW Credit to take to DMV for adding his name to title.
But when he went to DMV with the documents VW Credit gave him, DMV said these documents were incomplete as they said

In the document named ‘Illinois secure power of Attorney’ a signature is missing for ‘Transferee’ section which we thought it should be my friend but VW has already printed their office address and left signature blank, so not sure who should sign this part!

Also, odometer part is empty and not sure if we can write the current odometer there by hand?

He also needs to have a sale agreement but for lease transfers, there won’t be one right?
Any suggestions?
