Volvo xc90 Recharge leased at 384 / month, 12% off msrp

I emailed about ten dealers in PA, NJ, and MD. Turns out MD has lower lease cash (Volvo incentives are based on where the dealer is) so the dealers down there were more willing to negotiate.

I brought in a friend to gift me the AMA rebate, and I already was a Costco member. Below I’ve included a sample of the email template I was sending around to dealers. I had much better luck emailing GMs directly, though that depended on the dealership. Just use RateFindr to adjust the numbers for each dealer (again, remember that for Volvo it’s the zip code of the dealership, not you yourself).

One other piece of advice for the noobs out there - don’t get discouraged! Some dealers will scoff at you, scold you, tell you you’re crazy and not aligned with reality. Just set them aside and keep going, because if your deal was genuinely well researched eventually you’ll find a dealer who’ll accept or give a realistic counter. I had offered a little over 66k, and he countered with 67500. I couldn’t budge him and eventually took that number (it was roughly where I’d hoped to end up anyway).

Here’s the email template:

Hi <insert GM’s name>,

I’d like to make an offer to lease stock number 5908. It’s a serious offer and I’d be willing to drive up tomorrow to do the deal. Here are my numbers

Sale Price: 69000
Incentives: 13750
EV bonus 7500
Costco 2000
VCFS Lease Bonus 4250

yes sir! I got it

I need friends like yours lol

It doesn’t hurt to reach out to your network even if acquaintances. You’d be surprised on how helpful people can be. People network for all sorts of things so why not discounts especially when they may not even know about it and learn something new.

This is 100% true. You might not have any friends that are doctors or lawyers, but I bet you have a friend of a friend.

They might not have the AMA membership (many don’t), but you could just offer to pay their membership fee for them.

I dont have friends. Ive costco but dont have ama
