I live in Georgia and am looking at an XC90 B6 Plus loaner with ~4K miles. What discount before rebates should I target? So far I’ve been offered ~15%.
Seems like a good discount. For a better perspective, what’s the rest of the deal look like?
I’m waiting on a full quote but I was quoted $700 with first month due at signing for 39 months, 10k miles per year, on a $71.5k MSRP car. I don’t qualify for loyalty but do have Costco gold, so that includes $3250 in total rebates.
I’ve seen a few brokers offering 12% off new units right now but thought I’d try my luck with a loaner. So far this is the best Ive found. How much more should I be pushing? The car has ~5k miles.
39/10k. $71.5k MSRP. 16% discount plus $4250 of rebates. $660/mo with tax and first month due at signing. Seems like a good discount but with a marked up MF.
At disposition, if you use exactly your allowed miles you’ll have ~37,500.
Factor-in the likelihood of a fourth, paid service (unless you reset the indicator with VIDA, a 3-day pass isn’t much less than a dealer oil change) and a set of tires.
Isn’t the fourth service at 40k? How long do tires last on these? i wish 24 months was more attractive.
16% pre-incentives discount is great but it comes at a cost. From what I can see there is a MF bump from 0.00144 to 0.00204, which increases your payment by almost $60/mo over base mf. I’d say offer the payment that results when you use their discount at base MF and see if they bite.
And if you’d like to further lower your payment, MSDs would be the answer if you’ve got some cash. If you have base mf and could do $6500 in MSD that would drop your payment down $100/mo less than their quote. Substantial savings over 39 months and doesn’t cost the dealer anything.
Did I read somewhere you could upgrade to executive and get the $2k? Did you already request the Costco PIN?
Sort of related
Checking out demo Volvo ex90 or xc90
Once a unit is punched, I assume still leases BUT are all the incentives are lost?
Demo cars qualify for new car incentives
And then some
Could you elaborate?
Plus loaner cash is my guess
Yes but it’s miles or time, and if the maintenance indicator is lit you’ll have to perform the service or get dinged. The dealer can’t clear it preemptively, them doing the 10k service early would make it worse. The V60 loaner I had was a hassle.
I got a little over 30k miles out of the 20”
Continentals I had on a former XC60 T6, I’m about 15k on 21” Pirellis that were rotated before 10k and may not make 20k. YMMV
I understand 39m is lowest payment and you’re in a state for which there isn’t a registration penalty (here in CA the extra 3 months costs an entire year, my 1-year renewal was $745), but unless you are 100% sure you’ll pull-ahead at 33 months I would see how much the 40k service and a set of tires costs and factor them in, because if you go 39/37,500 you’ll likely be out of pocket for them. On a new one, slightly better chance you won’t (still: rotate those tires).
Does anyone know what this looks like?
Is it a flat amount based on model?
Does it depend on mileage or age on lot?
I think the max is like 3000 bucks
Dealer will not make the same money from the marked up/reduced MF?, no?yes? Very curious. ![]()
YES! Price in a set of tires - esp on a 36 month loaner. I had the 20" on a T6 that lasted about 25k miles.
What about brakes?
