Deal check for New Volvo XC 90 2024?

I have asked for Dealer lease cash - 3250, Aplan discount - 500, and loyalty - 2000, rest is the discount from the dealers.

24 months lease
12k miles/year
10 MSD’s —> $5500

No Costco discount.

$0 DAS, $550 monthly inc tax.

This seems excellent from what I’ve seen recently to be honest. short term lease, 12k miles. Heavy MSD’s but youll get that back. Is loyalty really 2k in October?

Is your trade covering part of the MSD?

Yes I had to ask multiple times to get 2k for loyalty. I was only given 1k at first.

I traded my xc 60 2021 lease, still 8months to go on lease. The dealer purchased it for current market value cross checked with carmax. I did 5.5k out of pocket for MSDs. I am yet to get my 4k MSD from XC 60 lease I returned.

You can’t ask for higher loyalty than is in the programs. Dealer gives you what you are eligible for, it doesn’t come out of their pocket.

I’m I reading that right? You got a ~$12k discount on the car? Is that normal these days?

Looks more like $9500ish

Thanks yes, my arithmetic skills seems to be atrophying. Still, much more than I thought possible.

I got $12,500 off MSRP on my initial ask for a quote. (2024 B6 Plus)

Wow. I’m totally naïve here. It frankly wouldn’t occur to me to ask for a $12,500 discount. How does it work? For example:

  • MSRP: $67,915
  • Dealer Advertised discount: -$1,353
  • Volvo Financial discount: -$2,000
  • A-Plan: -$500
That’s $63,762 including $3,853 in discounts? So, I just go in and ask for another $8000 off? to get me to $55,762? Are there other things I’m missing?

Don’t go into dealerships, such a waste of time. Im sure there are plenty of strategies out there but I email every dealer within 150 miles of where I live and ask them for their best deal on whatever car/lease terms I am looking for. I then see from that who is willing to play ball and narrow it down.

Also if you are specifically looking for a XC90, there are some dealerships with a TON on the lot. The best deals will come at the end of the month usually of course.

Yeah, well, if youre ready to make a deal they usually don’t give you their best number via email so you can go to their competitor and shop it. For some people an extra $500-$1000 is worth a couple hours.

Brokers on here don’t want to share calcs because they said they get price shopped. Why would dealers want to get price shopped?
