Has anyone recently completed a lease buyout in AZ? I just bought out an XC60. I paid sales tax as part of the buyout payment. My understanding is I am being mailed an endorsed title and lien release; however, I have yet to receive a bill of sale or any other documentation from Volvo showing the breakdown of my payoff amount. My concern is when I go to the DMV to get a title in my name that they are going to try to charge me sales tax. Will I need a bill of sale or some other documentation to prove sales tax paid?
Volvo doesn’t show breakdown. It pissed me off, too. Request a letter from Volvo re: paid sales tax.
