Volvo International Student Program

The International Student Program is the easiest way to acquire a vehicle while studying in the U.S., only from Volvo.

One-Time Payment
Volvo is proud to introduce the International Student Program. Instead of purchasing a car outright, you’ll make one easy, upfront payment and drive a brand new Volvo during the time you’re in school. After you graduate, you’ll be able to drop the car off at your local Volvo dealer. No hassles. You’ll only pay for the portion of the car you use. It’s as simple as that.

Unfortunately they won’t mention prices anywhere!

That’s because the international students this is geared towards won’t care about costs. Even at my lowly public state school I see international students driving brand new luxury cars.

Well they do put some restrictions on where you can be from…

The lessee must have a valid passport from the Lessee’s country of residence and such passport has not been issued from any of the following countries and regions: Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria and any country or region that is or becomes the subject of comprehensive economic or financial sanctions or general trade embargoes imposed, administered or enforced from time to time by any of the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Department of State, the United Nations Security Council, the European Union and Her Majesty’s Treasury of the United Kingdom.

Why would they? You select any eligible vehicle from stock and negotiate as usual. Then - “Insurance
Automotive liability and physical damage insurance*** included in program”, “U.S. Credit History Not Required”, “Maintenance & Insurance Included”.

@DNJA - yeah, big deal: 5 countries that don’t get to send students here anyway are excluded
Besides - Crimea is not a country, they now have Russian passports there.

Well BMW does a similar program and they show at least some number: https://www.elitebmw.com/en/international-student/

They’re horrible numbers, but they’re numbers.

Even 12 years ago I used to see the foreign students from China and the Gulf states rocking new m3s and amgs. Smart of any manufacturer to try and capture a portion of this market.

If their parents got money to send them here, they have barrels of cash to spend.
