I absolutely love seeing a manufacturer come hard with a new product. This is the least expensive advertised 3 row EV lease deal with 0 down if seen outside the cheaper EV9. Heck they might even have to get more aggressive to move these products as they haven’t been well reviewed https://vinfastauto.us/vehicles/vf-9
I have seen articles with huge discounts in the past but never really cared to look much into it. A buddy sent me this today and I was shocked to see how big the battery was.
I don’t see a ton of inventory but I do see dealers have them on the lot.
It’s not a bad looking car and the interior is really nice.
Anyways just figured I’d share as no one really talks about this brand (for good reason so far)
I wonder if VinFast is a Tesla-style “no-haggle” brand or if you can actually get a dealer discount on these units… May make it a very attractive lease $-wise if selling price can be negotiated. That being said, you’d be signing up to beta-test their product, so there’s always that concern.
IQ9 isn’t touching this price.
Heck the vinfast probably looks better as well. Not a huge fan of the IQ9 look.
I haven’t seen a lease deal posted yet that makes any sense on these as they are too new.
Same with the VW Bus. Those prices are stupid.
As far as why you would consider it over the EV9.
Almost every kia EV9 deal posted here over the past several months has started with a 600 or 700 monthly figure.
Also the cheeper kia EV9 has a tiny battery. I wanna say it’s 77.x useable.
Even the long range is under 100kw.
I also believe you could see some wanting a different car that no one else would have.
$ for $ the long range EV9 all the way. But it’s not dollar for dollar.
The caveat I’d add about battery size is efficiency. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter if you have a 150+ kwh battery if you’re getting ~1.5 miles per kwh (looking at you Hummer EV). So just because the EV9 (or any other full EV) has a small battery doesn’t automatically indicate the range is poor (or vice versa).
I don’t think those make sense at all unless its $300/month or under. And “zero down” is not even close to $0 DAS, especially in states with taxed rebates. If this was $350/mon with tax included and $0 DAS maybe that would move units. Vinfast has been total garbage (maybe the new model is better?) so it has to be DIRT cheap to make any sense.
Totally agree on the battery. That’s exactly what happens with the lightening as well.
Over the 3500 miles drives the Ford has averaged 1.9 per mile. Good thing the battery is big.
However the vinfast co isn’t bad.
It’s not lucid air. But it’s not hummer EV either.
Infact EV9 is .28 while the vinfast is .26
Other factors go into range as well.
God I sound like I’m pumping a vf9 hahaha I promise you I am not !!! Lol
Thats your problem. National and/or dealer advertised deals shouldn’t be compared, they are always a terrible deal when you account for the small print. Run the actual lease programs with target discount to see how they are leasing.
there’s brokers in SoCal with Io9s between $350-$450 a month w/ 2k at signing.
if they got one of the VFs into the low $200s I’d consider it as a beater, but that’d depend on how close the nearest dealer is for the inevitable trips to the service center
Well here is my assumption. If an IQ9 can be hacked down. Who’s to say the vinfast can’t?
Ultimately there is way too little data to show what most buyers can get these at.
I throw out the one off 199 deals that we see that aren’t repeatable.
Now when brokers come hard with deals. That’s legit especially when they have several of them.
I also throw out Colorado BS as it’s not real for most of the USA.
I have seen 130k eqs deals at 200 bucks a month so I’m aware crazy stuff happens.
However when it comes to a national program this is a good one.
And will a few added discounts should be easy to achieve a sub 300 per month Payment with 0 down.
Please don’t think I’m saying this is the best deal in the world. But as advertised this is aggressive for company and shows they really need to sell a car. (Likely because their rep this fat sucks! )
You know what the basis of lease hacking is, right? It’s a system where the dealers are completely separate business entities from the OEMs. So you can get a dealer who discounts something that they need to offload on their end, yet the OEM is still pushing a favorable combo of RV/MF/incentives. That disconnect is the basis of lease hacking.
Do you understand why that’s not possible with VF?
