Very Bad BMW Dealer Experience

,

This. So many stories of stores that got scammed, and why so many don’t even want to entertain remote sign deals any longer.

We have to be very careful on them, generally speaking, many of our remote deals involve using a notary company for signing, we send the paperwork to the notary, who then meets the client in person, verifies their identify, and then walks them thru the signing as an added layer of protection.

Autonation bmw in Illinois are horible .
You should claim a complain cince its publicaly trade company

I highly doubt that’s the case. Sounds like they wanted to squeeze out a higher rate from you and used that as the excuse that sounds plausible.

per @Harry657ha , make sure when that survey comes, you give them 0 stars on every answer. The way they treated you is unacceptable. Surveys are important to the dealership and you might as well express your feelings about your experience. If you want to go further you can file a BBB complaint.

Also, I can only imagine what your experience would have been like had you flown there and sat there at the dealership. You would have been worse off for sure.

I’m pretty sure you can use College Grad on a loyalty lease, right @IAC?

OP’s survey will “accidentally” get sent to the wrong address.

Does BMW still link surveys to dealerships performance?

Terrible source of info of course, but alot of the Class acts from r/askcarsales mentioned how surveys either were missing in action for customers (extra characters in the email or addy) or some mfgs have unlinked them from bonuses etc.

to the Op:
Absolute disgusting dealer experience. On one end, you have the deal/ethics of the deal and on the other its the car you spec and waited for…

I don’t think @atanomist said it was AutoNation (Westmont IIRC). It would not surprise me if it was Bill Jacobs or Orland Park as well.

This is totally giving me Bill Jacobs vibes.

I’m guessing Elmhurst! Total scum.

You absolutely can add it. But, if a customer has a stip on the credit, college grad may be denied.

I’ve dealt with GM at BJ in the past a couple times and he was great so ?

I think Laurel BMW of Westmont is owned by AutoNation. And yeah, Orland Park is also unpleasent to work with.

Yeah I thought so. I have excellent credit so it there’s no reason for them to deny it. I don’t know why it even mattered to them, BMWFS is giving the credit here.

Not BJ or Elmhurst, how do these dealers have such high ratings smh

What a bunch of BS. They were hoping you would cancel the deal so they could sell it to someone local for more money.

Destroy them on the survey. They deserve it.

Being there in person would have made much of this go more smoothly. It’s harder to let you walk out the door than it is to give you crap over email. Also, in the current market environment, they probably can get more for the car, so they’re pushing you to the limit.
