Valet/emergency key replacement 22 Porsche cayenne

My wife’s valet key fell out of her fob. I tried looking everywhere but can’t find one. Dealer wants $200 for a replacement.

Anyone know where it can be ordered or just SOL and pay the dealer or hope I get another Porsche when my lease is up and they waive it.

Tia!

Do you mean the metal key?

You could also just let it go until the end of the lease and see what the charge is.

On my last Audi lease I lost a key, dealer wanted ~$500 to replace it, I just waited until the inspection where the charge was only $150 from AFS for a missing key.

Yep. No clue how it fell out. They’re really hard to pull out in the first place.

If you still have the fob I think you might be giving too much credit to whoever is going to be taking inventory of such things when it gets returned.

Yeah I was thinking that too but it’s pretty plain to see. I looked for blanks and couldn’t find any that fit either

Would rather bite the bullet and pay $200 then them try and charge something crazy like $500 at turn in.

She broke a wiper blade at the car wash and had to get a set of 2 for like $200 last month :person_facepalming:t3:
They don’t sell singles and only oem fits apparently.

I bought the wiper blade at auto zone for my cayenne.

I called them and advance and both said they won’t fit. Couldn’t drive around south Florida without them so just told my wife to go to Porsche

I think you can just get a blank insert and a white sticker/label that says “sorry bud” for the next owner of this car.

I’d just wait till inspection. Or get one of those sleeves to cover the key fob… and hope it passes :joy: make sure there’s a fresh battery in there too so the inspector doesn’t go looking :joy:

You should be able to find a new unit on apps like Hinge or Bumble.

Shop on line for the part number. Some Porsche dealers sell on-line at discount.

Suncoast has most oem parts at a significant discount so I’d try that as well if you have the part number handy.

Will it be the unit one was expecting? My understanding is they hide part numbers.
