Using CRMs when searching for pricing information?

Has anyone tried using CRMs before when contacting dealers? I find it a bit overwhelming to keep track of all the emails, especially when dealers reply from so many different addresses.

I’ve been trying Hubspot. It’s OK, but the integration between the deal (a car I’m trying to lease) and an email thread is awkward.

I dont understand what this “asking dealers for pricing” thing is.

lol how many cars are you buying to warrant a CRM? Just use a spreadsheet man.

I made one from scratch that can do a lease calc on the fly in a single column. So I can stack deals side by side and compare them quickly… beats a clunky CRM and beats trying to fumble with the LH lease calculator and track 15 links.

Have you even created a target for your deal yet?

To each his own. I view the value proposition as: How many hours am I going to be spending answering annoying emails, and is it worth it to spend a few minutes trying out a free CRM? YMMV.

In retrospect, tagging emails with the VIN of the car or something like that would also work pretty well. To use the CRM, I also created a separate email account. That makes things a lot easier as well.

Imo, if youre spending hours answering emails, your approach is wrong.
