Using CPO prices to negotiate BMW Loaner lease deal

,

I am currently in the process of negotiating a lease deal on a 2024 i4 e35 loaner with 5500 miles on it.

Can anyone advise me on whether it is appropriate to use the prices of used and/or CPO comparable models which are for sale in the area when negotiating for a lower selling price.

The dealer is offering me around 18.5% off MSRP but is ~$3.5k above what this car is selling for on the market.

Thanks!

What MF is attached to that?

What’s the DAS and payment?

Still waiting to get mf/residual from dealer

36/7.5k, $4k DAS, $349+tax

No, it’s not, because CPO cars can’t be leased, the market value of loaners/demos is higher because of the fact that new car lease and finance programs apply to them, and dealers know that.

Before you pass on a very good deal over this, ask yourself, are you targeting a good deal, or a payment, and if it’s the latter, you’ll need to put in a lot more work and ultimately just have some luck.

so 460ish monthly?

No one should be hacking a lease without knowing how to hack a lease. Become a super supporter and find that information inside ratefinder.

Would love thoughts on this deal and if the experts think there is more room to negotiate the MSRP. The dealer is marking up the MF (base is 0.00170) but I am assuming a stronger MSRP discount can offset that markup. I plan to ask them for either deeper discount or use base MF (ideally both).

BMW i4 eDrive35 loaner w/ 6200 miles
MSRP: $56,395
Discount (pre-rebates): $11,618
Selling price: $44,777
Rebates: $8500
Fees (Reg/doc/license/plate/chp/smog/tif): $800
MF: 0.00220 (marked up)
Residual: 52.47% after adjustment for miles

Couldn’t get the calculator to work out exactly but the dealer is offering me:
$4000 DAS, $350/month (including 9.95% tax)

LH Calculator: CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR

Have you checked the marketplace to see what deals are for new i4s w/ a similar MSRP?

BMW got rid of the e35 for 2025 and now starts at e40

Have not seen any deals on marketplace for e35s.

The cheapest deal I saw for $60k e40 with 12k miles/yr (most advertised at 7.5k so have to edit calculator to get price) is ~$600/month effective payment

Looks good you should take it.

The marked up MF is costing you about $1K. See if they will knock off another $500 just to get rid of a car that is no longer made.
