How are these used porsche macan deals just for 1 year? It seems ok, but I worry that there are going to be heavy maintenance fees on these cars? Any advice? Thanks

They are CPO, so you still have warranty coverage. Maintenance would still need to be done, new or used. And used Porsches typically have lower miles on them. You can always look up what type of maintenance is required and get it done at local indy shops, not necessarily a dealer. But it’s a Porsche… probably have to pay the Porsche tax 
I guess it depends how many miles the cpo has. I did a 12 month Macan lease last July and vehicle was serviced just as I signed it. We’ve put 10k miles and it was due for 20k service interval. Turned it in as is with the maintenance reminder on. We were not billed for that 20k interval but they did require 2 new tires at lease end ($300 each)…. 
I’ve recently become a retired Porsche CPO lease flaker and this is what I’ve learned..
- Used (non-CPO) units tend to go for less and dealers tend to put these up with no intent to certify the car. I know on a 911, certification was/is around $3400. That’s without any other additional wear/tear items the dealer has to complete in order to pass.
- We’ve been told that 50% or more can pass for wear/tear items.. so technically a dealer can certify a car that is near that threshold and pass it onto you.
- If you are looking at either, I would encourage asking the dealer for the inspection/recon report on the car. It should give you a bit more intel (outside of checking their CarFax) on what needs to be done.
- It has been confirmed that used/older CPO models usually comes with pre-wear/tear items. It’s important that you make sure the dealer marks these items so you don’t get dinged when you turn it in. You are only responsible for wear/tear items once you leased, not before.
- I’m still not fully clear what constitutes maintenance items and what you may/may not get charged for. What I mean by this there have been notes where the service light was on, but no charge. (See above) Other times, it’s just service items that fall on the cluster and maybe not something like a 60k service that can be costly.
- I’m still not fully clear if CPO has any impacts on the residual value on the car.. since again PFS used/CPO leases are a black box.
- I believe 12 month leases also apply to new models, so it could be worth exploring if you don’t want to do all that deep dive.
It seems that in early October @IAC_Scott posted a (bad) meme that had ripples at PFS. After much deliberation PFS sent an internal memo stating CPO leases are back baby.

Why you want to pay Porsche prices for used car with 30k miles?
Bc they depreciate faster than the lease costs. And a used Porsche is still a Porsche. Cheaper then 99% of cars with similar payments. Cpo leases have no maintenance that needs to be done, and they’re just a year or 2 so that’s also a positive for many
Lease a new rav4 xse or a 23 macan with 15k miles. Same monthly price basically. Not a tough decision
New car always beats used for me. RAV4 is buy anyway
The answer to this depends on how well the CPOing dealer did on the items that needed maintaining to bring it to CPO standards. A few posts up @Yanoosh posted about tires (minor cost) but if dealer didn’t do a major service interval, brakes/rotors, or worse air suspension one could be on the hook for thousands on a short term lease. Air suspension is the worst as I understand since it’s not covered under the Porsche CPO.
If maintenance costs are of any real concern, then you can’t afford a Porsche, or if you can technically afford it but are still concerned then you’re too tight with your money to pay for it

The Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty covers all parts of the following components:
- Engine
- Fuel / Cooling system
- Powertrain / Transmission
- Suspension / Steering
- Brake system
- Heating / Air condition
- Electrical Systems
- Body
- Comfort Electronics
I believe I still have some of my factory warranty left on mine as well. Not too worried about a 911 with 10k miles. They installed new brakes and tires on mine and a bunch of other stuff. Plus to hit the residual I got a bunch of protection plans added so curb rash also isn’t an issue which I would def worry about on these.
That being said I returned my Cayenne with a service light on and curb rash on 2 wheels and I wasn’t charged anything.
I also paid the disposition fee in June. Leased a new 9/11 last month and they refunded my dispo
Yours is low mileage and you seem to have good experience with Porsche. I was referring to some of the higher mileage Porsche CPO cars that get posted and overall, I do agree that Porsche dealers are better at certifying to their CPO standards than other luxury brand dealers. One needs to review the CPO checklists was my point so they don’t get dinged for major expenses later
For the air suspension it was from either a post here or Reddit/Rennlist someone had Cayenne they traded in where it was leaking and not covered.
Isn’t that true for many of us on LH regardless of brand lol? We’re aiming for low TCO on leases.
I can afford one and the maintenance. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be super pissed off and prob drive it in a large puddle if I was slapped with a 10k repair bill
On a 4cyl Macan I would not worry as much. Something little more higher end in the lineup I’d stay away from. Not to hijack your thread with 911 talk but I locked in a 911 with nearly 70k miles and car was due for a $8k rear brake job… I guess these are the type of thing you’d want to avoid.
Does PFS still offer 12 mth pull aheads on longer term leases? I use to hear about them on 36 mth leases. Just wondering
From my research that 12 month pull ahead only covers up $4500 in payments. My doctor leased a 2024 Cayenne GT for $3500 monthly and wanted out. I told him he can do a pull ahead in the final year but those 12 payments at $3500 is not something PFS will let go that easy.
