Used Mercedes Benz C300 4matic

Just learned today, Mercedes adds 20 cents /mile over 3000 to the residual of demo/courtesy cars.
(this was on a 2017 GLA250)

What does that mean ?

This sounds like a great Wiki topic – leasing exec/demo/used cars from different brands.

If you are leasing a Mercedes with 9k, they’ve subtracted $1200 from the residual value to compensate for the additional mileage. A new C300 4matic has a residual value of 60%. 60% of $48,230 is $28,938. Subtract $1200 = 27,728 (±10) the residual they quoted you.

For reference BMW charges 25 cents per mile over 500 (I think).

Sorry to sound incredibly stupid but is that good or bad or neither ?

I don’t know if you can make binary good/bad judgements unless they are outrageous in one way or another. In between it’s mostly grey. Just depends on your local market and how competitive it is. Just get the best deal you can, knowing that not everyone can fly to SoCal to pick up a hackr deal.

I talked to another dealership who was giving me double those numbers and so far nothing comes close really.

I think it’s a good deal. 53k car for 425 and change. It has good discount (20%), good MF. The 2500 drive off seems a bit steep so that’s where the are making their money but for a C300 that’s not bad. Question. Is this a 2017 or 2016?

It is a 2016.i offered 2k and the payment was obviously more.

People are getting brand new Jaguar F type coupe for a simialr payment? Are you near a Jaguar dealer?

Never looked at a jaguar

It is literally just one Jag dealer in SoCal, and the OP is clearly not in a competitive market like SoCal.
