Hello - I just got a quote from CarMax (and several local Jeep dealers have called with similar quotes) to purchase my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for $31,600. I can purchase the car at lease-end (through USBank) for $20,697 in 30 days.
Has anyone done this in Massachusetts? It seems I have to pay the sales tax, title the car in my name and then sell to CarMax. Is it to good to be true?

initiate the buyout as soon as you can so you have title and everything ready to go asap and dump the car.
If you sell to a Jeep dealer, can they just transfer the title and you don’t have to pay sales tax? This is how it worked with my Toyota Rav4 via SE Toyota Financial. I sold it back to the Toyota dealership (I walked in with my CarMax offer and they actually beat it by $400).
This was way easier (and more profitable) than buying it myself and selling to CarMax.
