UPDATED! [Lease Transfer] 2023 Tesla Model Y LR - $3,075 Incentive, $591 effective/month, 12k miles/year

Hot Deal! Now with an effective monthly payment of $591 with a cash incentive of $3,075.

NOTE: Buyout is not possible on this car. In fact no buyouts on all model 3s and Ys.

I have about 22 months left of a three-year lease on a 2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range in gray, and I’m ready to transfer it to someone else. The car’s in great shape, and everything is in perfect working order - never had any problems. The only thing I will note is some curb rash on the right side wheels. I’m doing the transfer only for personal reasons.

You would be applying to take over the lease directly with Tesla Financial, and they would have to approve you as if you were leasing a new Model Y.

The deal gets even better! The $3,075 incentive takes care of the $650 in fees for the transfer and makes the effective monthly payment $591.01. I reran a comparable on the Tesla web site, and your effective monthly payment taking into account all the taxes and fees with $0 down would be $802.75 (not taking into account registration for year 2). And this is assuming Tesla estimates. When I leased mine, the actual monthly payment ended up being a sizable amount higher than what was quoted to me. Avoiding an almost $3k up front outlay is significant valuable as well, and registration is paid through August 2025.

I’m ready to do the transfer immediately. I already have another car, so I’m motivated. The timeline depends on internal Tesla process, but I’ll do everything in my power to move things quickly.

Please let me know if you’re interested and if you have any questions!

I’ll sweeten the pot and cover all transfer fees ($650). All you need to do is start making those monthly payments!

You may want to update the title and post with your incentive.

Also, have you tried SAL (swapalease)?

Good point! I did post on SAL as well: https://www.swapalease.com/lease/details/2023-Tesla-Model-Y.aspx?salid=1677984

You might need to dump a candy factory into the pot to get someone here to pay $700 a month for a used tesla model Y.

That seems a bit extreme. I added more thoughts and numbers in my post. There’s good value in not paying $6k up front, and the effective monthly payment taking into the down payment and other costs for a new Model Y would be $834/month (actually likely to be higher based on my experience). I would take the savings if I was looking to get into a Model Y, but I’m open to hearing about deals out there.

Incentive now at $2k! Let’s get this done!

Hottest deal yet! A five handle effective monthly payment with a cash incentive of $3,075.

Updated some numbers in the posting after rerunning comp on Tesla web site. If there’s a better deal out there, please let me know!

Just an advice, you might want to try swapalease instead. Tesla site is a terrible comp. Leases on teslas are horrible deals, so being marginally better than Tesla is not exactly a great deal. My Mercedes Amg eqe is cheaper than your lease and it’s a much more superior car. Folks here can get Mercedes eqe/eqs, bmw iX etc for less than your model Y lease, there’s few reasons to pay so much for a used model Y unless you are a hardcore Elon fan.

Not really interested in leasing a Tesla anymore but just an advice that swapalease usually has less savvy user base and you might be able to find someone taking this up there.
