Ultra-short annual mileage leases?

I’m in the US on avg. 2-4 months/year, and drive very little while I’m here. I’ve called a few dealers (Hyundai, Tesla, and BMW) in Florida and Massachusetts (I spend time in both states) about getting very-low mileage leases but they’ve all said no. I could of course just rent a car the normal way when I fly in, but I’d rather have a car waiting for me at home. Has anyone ever succeeded in getting a lease at a low rate in exchange for very low mileage limits (2000 miles or so per year)? Thanks, Brian

Where in FL are you located?

Stellantis has 5k.

West Palm Beach

Infiniti also offers 5K

I’ll lease you my BMW motorcycle so I can cover my 911 purchase since PFS no longer allows leasing on CPO units. The only thing is, I’m like 4 hours away.

But to answer your question in reality. You could look into: https://www.flexcar.com

The other option would be to not lease and just buy something cheap; but given your Swedish that doesn’t seem right. I think ultra luxury cars go to 2k miles (think Lambos).

Also… I could have sworn I saw a 6 month lease with Hyundai but I don’t know if it was like super limited to employees or what.

Keep in mind you’ll still need to pay insurance for the other 8-10 months per year. Pretty sure it’s more economical to just rent a car as mentioned with Flex Car or Sixt. No registration costs or the upfront costs of a lease.

If you were to look into purchasing something, a CPO Volvo might do the trick if you have an affinity for Volvo.

Do you have a US Credit score? I only ask because it’s going to be tougher to lease something without it.

Owning something where one could drop collision when it’s parked/unused would be even more economical

Yes, I have a good US credit score.

Maybe Flex Car is the most sensible option.

Thanks everyone for the replies!

My motorcycle is extremely sensible too. It has ABS.

Good luck out there!

I think sixt is the best option for this as they have longer term options as well and usually decent cars (like a bmw x3, c300 etc)

What?!?!? How did I miss that?
