Can I get “Stupid Meme King” or “Chief Porsche Beggar”?

I think you already have those.

Exactly! Now recognize their contributions with something even newbies can see.

With all respect to the ones who actually contribute to the forum, that’s a really bad idea

Tbh as nice as it is to be mentioned, you’re probably right, too subjective, plus we all pay to be here, would be unfair to make it seem like other brokers aren’t trusted.

Let us revisit this. The original intent of “Trusted Hackr” is that they are “trusted” by the community in addition to being “hackrs”, so we trust them with our moderation tools, though they are not obligated to moderate.

Don’t think we can do “Trusted Broker” at this time. Too much contention within the broker community if we start designating that title.

Also please keep the nomination coming!

How so?

@littleviolette doesn’t have to be “trusted” to be somehow distinguished from those who only advertise.

I feel we do need a participating broker badge that are helpful and aren’t just selling on the forum.

Screw their contention, who cares? You either good or not (or licensed or not, or have tons of positive reviews on LH). LH wasn’t created for brokers, though they feed it.

It’s not like we make them fight gladiator style… yet. Healthy competition is always good.

@delta737h

There can be only one…and that’s not him.

That, and it would imply that admins are explicitly endorsing brokers on the site, which is not the case.

OK, so don’t use phrase “trusted broker”, come up with something neutral to reflect users’ support.

This badge, like everything else, can be easily explained to anyone willing and able to read and comprehend. Having dozens (no idea how many) brokers and dealers without any rankings or ratings isn’t helpful either. Honestly, who reads hundreds of reviews going back years?

My thoughts about a broker designation are that the very active and trustworthy brokers make themselves known here pretty quickly and thus a designation isn’t necessary.

Yeah, it’s not necessary IMO - if you’re active and trustworthy you make your ‘face’ / brand known easily to someone casually browsing.

Adding a badge just adds a level of distinction/elevation that would become an issue.

Yeah, like the one who self-proclaimed herself to be the “most transparent on this site” the other day after being repeatedly confronted about her intentionally misleading ads. A new user seeing this is likely to believe such a strong claim.

I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

I agree with that to the extent that some brokers might be upset by it. Contrarily from a consumer side, not all brokers are equal. There are some on here who, in addition to providing an excellent process, provide invaluable information that add to the community (ie @IAC_Scott). The review threads speak to this and I think they should be recognized for it. The others should be able to strive towards that achievement by living up to the same standard. Competition is healthy.

When did this forum go from an educational resource built around the free sharing of deals, to a ranking of which pay-per-use middleman can do it all for me?

I always looked at trusted hackers as those who have the ability to broker but are not looking to grind the community for profit. That they have “master[ed] the art of lease hacking from scratch” and help “foster the supportive and educational environment.” This is behavior we should be encouraging and recognizing.

If a broker is not trustworthy, why are they even allowed to operate here? I’m not against brokers, but I think they should be held to a high standard of trust by default.

I would like to nominate @Zenek and also support @Bumboola @theduke @mattevan

Probably when PND’s (which are often misleading leading to prospective clients having to be disabused of misinformation or omissions) were added. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Not the fault of site owners and leadership, but of those submitting the ads.
