Thanks to all the help I got from LeaseHackr and your posts, I got a great deal on my XC90 at the end of June.
2019 XC90 T6 R-Design (w Polestar).
$574 mo (incl 9.5% tax)
36 mo 7500 miles per year
10 MSDs ($6,000)
$1,833 drive off.
MSRP was $74,040
Sale price was $61,535
This deal took me about 2 weeks and I did 95% of it via email.
Here’s what I did… I emailed the internet sales manager at 5 dealers. All I did was ask them to tell me their best price on the XC90 I wanted, which I knew they had. I was also super polite and courteous to the person who responded, and I answered their questions directly (e.g. they’d ask if I wanted to buy or lease, so I told them I wanted to lease).
After getting quotes, I took the lowest quote I got back to the other dealers and asked if they could beat it. 3 of the 5 said they could get close. The 4th, the dealer I ended up leasing from, told me they would lose money on the deal and it wasn’t possible, so I said thanks and waited a few more days. Two days later, as I was preparing to do the deal with the best offer and then the first dealer came back and said they’d beat the offer… By this time the deal I had was even better and then they beat my deal by $1000 on the drive-off costs. I thought they really couldn’t do the deal but apparently, at the end of the month, they found a way.
Now, here’s the mistake I made. When I went to sign, I was too rushed and the dealer somehow put in an extra $300 in drive-off fees. The original deal was $1500 drive off and I somehow paid $1833. It was my mistake but not a huge one in the end, just be careful.
I think there are better deals on R-Design than Inscription, especially red and blue colors bc there were a lot in the market, and those aren’t the popular colors. I got red and it’s the best looking XC90 in Los Angeles… and the only one I’ve ever seen on the road.

I’ve had this car for just under 7 months now and all I can say is, wow! utility and performance all in one. I wanna give a quick shout out to @nextlevelautobrokers, although I didn’t close this deal with him, he had one similar to this lined up but someone snatched it before I could, but I was able to negotiate this one with a friend who’s a broker with similar terms! I was going to post as soon as I got the car but I’ll be honest I kinda didn’t care about coming back to this website seeing as I got the car I want for the next 3 years. But lately I find myself on here just to read up on all the wild deals out there… anyways here it is!
