I contacted the regional brokers on the marketplace here about a Murano S and unfortunately none had any in stock. I tried a bit on my own and best I got was $500 off msrp.
So I decided to go in yelp and check for local brokers. The reviews were mixed but I contacted 4 and only 2 responded. One had a price 1 - 2k above Msrp but was sold out so that one was out. Then the next said 1K over msrp and sent numbers that weren’t 1k over msrp, it was laughable how it was well over 1K over msrp. I asked for the money factor just to see what they’d say which they claimed wasn’t marked up. Using the leasehackr Calc to compare showed me how crooked the second broker was.
Small sample size but so far the brokers I’ve contacted on this forum have all been professional. The Yelp ones locally in NY were a bit of a joke, maybe I just picked the bad ones but they were the top 4 listed on yelp with some over 50 reviews. I filled out the form on their website and text / email whichever other way they listed for the two that didn’t respond. One Nissan dealership in the area wants $7K over msrp for a Murano S which is ridiculous, so I can see someone contacting these brokers after would think they got a deal.
I’ll be sticking to leasehackr brokers if I’m not getting quotes on my own. Anyone else here try any of their local brokers?
i sell cars to a few nyc leasing companies. every single deal is an adventure, but they bring consistent business, and pretty much do all of the legwork, so it’s not bad.
I have had nothing but good experience with LH brokers. But i also read a lot of their threads & how they response to others before i pick choose to contact them.
Agreed, I’ve tried a few and no problems. The reviews here help to see how they respond when a dealer screws up too. @aronchi has always been reliable every time we’ve used him or a friend has.
Oh yes, it’s purely financial. I’d never buy one. Hopefully the transmission doesn’t crap out. I’m well aware of how outdated it is, poor mpg but iihs rating is most important. The local Nissan dealerships I hope to never deal with. My independent mechanic was like don’t get one if it’s used haha.
Ofc it’s going to be disappointing to expect a fish to climb a tree. Out IRL customers and brokers just talk DAS and monthly. You’re wasting everyone’s time asking about selling price this and MF that. You don’t even know what bank they’re using. Offer a monthly/DAS combo and move on with your life.
Except it’s not. I bet you it’s cheaper to own a better car than it is to lease a Murano.
