Toyota Venza LE 2021

I recently got a quote for a Toyota Venza LE 2021 and wanted to see if it’s a good deal or not. Please let me know what everyone thinks. Thank you.

MSRP: $34,104
Selling Price: $34,104
Monthly Payment: $390.88
Drive-Off Amount: $2,999
Months: 36
Annual Mileage: 12k
Incentives: College Grad ($500)
Region: Northeast (New Jersey 6.625% sales tax)

It is practically impossible for us to tell you what a “good” monthly payment is for your specific lease as lease programs are highly dependent on region, personal qualifications, tax rates, etc.

We always recommend the following method before you ever contact a dealership. If you do all of the work up front, you’ll have a stress free dealer experience and set yourself for success.

  1. Read Leasing 101 (Blog | LEASEHACKR) to understand how to calculate a lease payment and the variables. Monthly payment is an output, not an input!!
  2. Pick a specific vehicle that you want to target
  3. Gather the current MF, RV and incentives from Edmunds forums for your zip code
  4. Research the LH marketplace and other deals that have been made recently on your vehicle - what was their pre-incentive discount? How did their lease terms differ?
  5. Plug your numbers into the LH calculator (CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR), and use a pre-incentive discount similar to what you have seen
  6. Create a target deal, this is what you’re trying to negotiate to. You can try different terms, selling price discount, etc. and see how your monthly payment is affected. It is also possible that different trims of your vehicle may have different MF and RV (i.e. this is very common with GM), so make sure that you look into that. Come up with a set of inputs that give you the output that you want - your desired monthly payment.

With a target price determined, you now have a deal to pursue and compare dealer offers against. More importantly, you have a solid foundation to work from.

What’s the breakdown of the DAS?

Have you contacted multiple dealers in your area?

Net Down Payment
$1,132
DMV Fees - Due Upfront
$328
Acquisition Fee
$650
Documentation Fee
$499
First Month Payment
$391

I’ve contacted multiple dealers and some offered over 400$ monthly and other dealerships didn’t even have the car in stock until possibly September.

Have you reached out to any of the brokers from here?

Yes I have reached out to a few leasehackr brokers and they told me they are out of stock and don’t know when they will get. I also contacted a few lease brokers in Brooklyn and they told me the range for them right now is close to 500/month.

Stupid question. What happened with Your current lease?

I did not have a car before this. This will be my first lease.

Don’t put money down. It masks the true monthly payment.

I see. Not a great time to enter into leased car word…
Anyhow Good luck in Your hunting.

@Avi123 - Here’s an idea - Why not finance it for 72 months?

Financing might be the best bet. I’ll definitely consider doing that. Thank you for the help.

3.9%. Just the interest over 6 years will be $4k

OP can also check out a credit union for better financing options.

I have one Venza le left. I can do this at 400/mo if you do msds. Maybe a little less…
