$15k over msrp is insane. I got my Pacifica hybrid for way under msrp plus incentives. There’s a broker on here @Jrouleau426 that should be near msrp on Siennas…
Purchased a Sienna XLE with 18 inch wheel option, entertainment package and XLE plus package in windchill pearl for $1,500 over back on New Year’s Eve. Waited 7 weeks from the time it was allocated. Spread out your search area. They are out there.
Toyota have a fanbase they know why you’re going in a Toyota dealership you only care about one thing reliability not the best tech or best seat or the luxurious feel. They know you need it not want it lol there’s a difference. They also know you’re not going to check out what Land Rover has in stock for third row.
I feel like you have to look at resale values also when factoring it in. It’s not always best to go with one brand jist bc they have a discount. The siennas sell used a year old with 10k miles above msrp. So if you can get one at msrp you’ll more then likely be ahead in 3 years over other brands. Of course this is totally speculative but just what the current market is for them. Many trims are doing 5-8k over msrp used right now as well. Crazy market on these vans
-Its a Toyota hybrid, which has been historically supply limited.
-It has a loyal word of mouth presence in terms of being “Reliable transportation”. That effects new and used transaction prices .
-It has essentials down pat including space and MPG.
Unfortunately everything else in its class just doesnt resonate.
-Everybody else has tried valiantly to raise the bar (carnival comes to mind) but realized the minivan buyers who want that product are a very small demographic, high trim buyer.
-Some mfgs dont have the means to launch a whole new generation of product on a all new platform.
