Toyota Loyalty $500

Dealer tells me he checked my vin with Toyota and they will not honor $500 rebate…our 36/12 was given 6 month extension…he states he was told we have “negative equity”???

This, after he wants to charge additional $264 for floor mats after giving me a “transparent sales price” then adding more.

Sounds like BS to me…can Toyota do this…called them earlier in the day and they this dealer’s request for a " coupon" is WRONG…it is about dealer participation!

I honestly cannot understand what you are talking about. I feel like you’re missing the first 6 paragraphs of the story.

Your comment is obtuse…A dealer won’t honor $500 Loyalty because he claims Toyota says we have “negative equity”…he also asked for a “coupon” and I called Toyota the Corp today and they said there is “NO COUPON”, rather it is dealer participation.

Yes my comment was indeed obtuse, I already said that I cannot understand what you are talking about. Are you using google translate?

Is this an incentive or what? Where is the negative equity coming from? What is this “coupon”?

Just go to @Cody_Carter

Well we agree on going to Cody as I was thinking the same and calling Toyota again.

Why you cannot understand that a dealer is refusing Loyalty of $500 is something else.

The $500 loyalty is not dealer participation. Its looked up by VIN. Not all customers will qualify.

Well then Toyota and TFS are giving false information to its customers…CLAIM TIME.

Ah now it makes sense.

Usually when I write a story, I start at the beginning. Such as; “I heard that Toyota has a $500 loyalty incentive, but the dealer which I am working with claims that I do not qualify.” Makes things much easier for all that way

You need to realize that TMS and TFS are totally different Companies and they don’t know which incentives the other is offering. The $500 is a TFS Rebate and they get to choose what maturity dates get incentives. The $500 loyalty is normally pretty rate.

The claim time comment makes me want to pass on this deal

I think Cody currently has enough customers who make threatening comments. Please PM if you want to reopen the thread but seems like the original question has been answered.
