Time for Infiniti/Nissan to close account after payoff?

Anyone have experience in how long it takes infiniti finance to close out lease account once the payoff was recieved? Unfortunately Calling into Infiniti customer service was probably one of the worst such experiences I’ve ever had, I’ve never spoken to less knowledgeable people before.

They recieved the check Monday morning and payoff is good through tomorrow. Hoping they get it done by then.

Don’t quote me on this by any stretch but my logic tells me…
-If it’s postmarked prior to the payoff date that counts as “on time” or “in time”
-I assume as with any lease or car payment you have a grace period before a payment is late, around 15-30 days I would guess. So you are also clear here.
-Lastly, it may not show as paid on your online account/dashboard for atleast 1-3 weeks

Thanks for the reply Mark. Those were my thoughts as well, but I just feel like you never know anymore. I always like some reassurance when 30+ thousand dollars is out there floating arpund!

i was in the same boat as you. Infiniti customer service told me two days. my tracking on the check showed it arrived to infiniti on monday…they close the account late friday.

Man I hope it’s closed out by tomorrow. I’m so dissapointed in their customer service and the absolute lack of knowledge of pretty much anything I asked. I’m not one to ask for a supervisor but I had to in this case and they never even called me back. This has 100 percent soured me on ever buying another Nissan/Infiniti product. I appreciate your response

if your payments due tomorrow and you have the tracking number on the check. you can probably just call infiniti and let them know the payment is on the way and give them the tracking number.

Oh they’ve already recieved the check. I have the tracking showing it was delivered this Monday so I figured it would have been closed out by now. I’ve called them and they act like they have no idea how to see if the check has been recieved or not. I’ll give them until tomorrow to see if it’s closed out!

They closed mine out last week already and I am currently 3 days from handing it back in.

But I have seen it closed out as much as 3 weeks post end of lease term.

Account closed out. All is good. I assume they probably just go through and do their accounting on Friday each week. Thanks for the replies guys
