Anyone ever used them? Was $100 and apparently they have a great success rate in Florida. I imagine they have some back room deals with the govt to get these tickets dropped. I’m sure I could go to court and get the points taken off by paying a fine but for $100 it seems better to just pay someone.
Didn’t realize one ticket in the last 20 years could raise my insurance rates so wanted to fight this and/or take the online driving class to remove points.
Fine is $165. I’m ok paying that but apparently they can get those dropped or eliminated as well. The points are my main concern. I have a red light ticket I didn’t know about and couldn’t fight it even tho it was quasi BS. They mailed it to my old address. So I don’t want 3 more points
Whatever you do, get the points to go away. In most states a red light and a speeding ticket at the same will give you enough points to put your insurance premium through the roof.
Yes I used them here in FL last year due to a recommendation of a friend in Miami. I was going 9mph over in an Orlando 35mph road that everybody goes 45mph all the time. You don’t save a dime in the end as the court case charges you a court fee that basically the same as the ticket but you don’t have it in your driving record.
When I got a Super Speeder ticket in GA a couple years ago I used Off The Record. They assigned a lawyer to my case and she handled everything. It was important for me to get the ticket dropped bc I have a CDL and need it for my job. I had to do a defensive driving course and pay a fine and the ticket was dropped. Check them out and see if it works for you.
Another way you can do it is go several weeks or months before your court date to the same courtroom and calendar for where your ticket is scheduled.
The traffic lawyers that are regulars will be there and will generally be called first and before the unrepresented litigants. Those are the people that know the DDAs (if they have one there) and the system. Might be the persons you want to talk to and hire if need be.
Yeah that my main concern. I never got tickets in the northeast so never dealt with any of this. 2 this year in Florida so far def don’t want my rates to go up anymore. Worst case I take the driving course it’s online anyway.
I used them. Paid the $100. It was basically exactly what I would’ve paid, but no points. The points are all I care about, so they did what I hired them to do.
I got an automated red light camer ticket in PBC and ended up just paying it to the company. $150. There were no points associated with it, and they had me dead to rights on the camera, so the ticket clinic said why bother paying the $100 to them. Better to not take the chance that the judge would be an asshole about it and stick me with the points.
I thought red light tickets are 3 points? Unless you go to court to drop them
Edit just googled it. Only points if from a human
Glad I didn’t pay to have that one adjusted. Not that I could they mailed it to my old address and I got a suspended license bc of it. Found that out when registering a new car. Whole day fiasco
Just read Florida Supreme Court is arguing red light tickets. They don’t make us safer. Just money generators. So we know the outcome of this already…
I had a suspension that I didn’t know about once. Someone rear ended me in traffic (1 of the 4 times btw) and the POS cop made me leave my car in the middle of the street to get towed and get a ride home. Took more than 1 court visit to fight it.
There’s no back room deals it’s just the cheapest lawyer because they can represent a bunch of people at the same time in the same hearing. Cop doesn’t show up it’s automatically dropped. Even if they do show up the judge might offer a lower deal or no points before the cop has to say anything.
