This is what they are offering me for a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4

I inquired about leasing a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4. The dealer is saying the the gross capitalized cost is 42,643.06 but the ticket price is 38,740 for the vehicle. I feel like they are pulling my leg. I also noticed that the money factor is .044 which is crazy since I searched for my zip code and found that the money factor is actually .00002. I have attached a picture of what their breakdown. Would like some input.

Thank you!

a quick glance at @RobinHood Jeep deals and work from there. New cars are a commodity, so if one dealer ain’t doing it … ā€œNurse next patientā€.

I don’t have the April program yet, but that would be high for March.

What was the monthly (I see $439) and total due at signing on this?

The monthly was $439 and due at signing is $3500. Apparently the 3500 are the taxes and fees. Thanks!

Thank you! I’ll check out the link.

That is wildly insane.

I was at 309/mo plus tax with like 1400 due for March deals on a Cherokee Limited.

Depending on what part of NY you’re in, myself or @RobinHood would be able to help you most likely. I am downstate, he is upstate (actual upstate, way up there, like Canada, ok, not quite, but still).

That’s what I figured. I even asked them about the money factor and she said " I asked my manager about the money factor and he said yes you are right". So they are out of their minds haha. I am in the tri-state area. Definitely interested in hearing you guys out. I am looking for a Jeep Cherokee limited 4x4 with an elite package.

Whole sales team going to Disney

haha seriously! and supposedly this is one of the best jeep dealers in Va. Supposedly they are known for their low cap costs. Thats a lie! I thought going out of state would get me a better deal… not at all!

Of course they are ā€˜known’ for it. But if you walk in like someone who just got off the bus, they will rip you off.
Cody Carter of Toyota gives incredible deals, but if you go into the dealership and say ā€˜Hey I want the Cody’ special! they are going to give you the ā€˜Kodi’ special is which over MSRP.

Not sure what they were trying to do here on the sheet but I have the money factor at 0.00044, which while marked up, isn’t outlandish. The lack of discount however is the issue here. The capitalized fees also seem fairly high…I’d be curious to know the break down of that 1376.60 not including the 595 Acquisition fee.

This. I got a Cody Carter deal end of January on a Prius Prime (bought instead of lease same awesome sale price) and yep if I’d just walked in I probably would have paid at least $1500 more and still have had to haggle for hours. Recommended him to some people on Reddit as well. Great salesman and the dealership as a whole was no gimmicks not even in finance.
