The Tesla Landfill. Shame. Shame. Shame

Aronchi’s Alberta Canada Car Service has a nice ring to it. Grab Springsteen on your way out of New Jersey and take him with you.

You could lease an XC90 T8 this month instead if you don’t want a car that your family might die in. Seems like there are always Tesla fatalities in the news. You rarely see that for Volvo or Subaru.

Wow. Are you always so pleasant and welcoming or is that charm entirely just for me?

It’s just facts. Tesla has the highest fatality rate of any brand.

Hi there, I don’t mean to be a nay sayer or deter you from leasing a tesla or any EV vehicle for that matter (although I personally think teslas have Honda interiors lol) If you haven’t owned a fully electric vehicle be ready to adjust to the idea that infrastructure (including fast chargers) just suck all around, it is really that bad! From past experience leasing a EV I can’t begin to tell you how much I disliked (my kids hated it) having to sit at a charger 3 or 4 hours just to recharge 20% battery. I recall driving up to a charger at 10% battery only to find out the charger was either broken/malfunctioning or it was in use, needless to say is that battery range is never what is advertised. Something to think about, although I’m sure you are fully aware of this problem as you try to jump into the EV market.

I agree with this.

At least in CA, full EV makes sense when you have full solar overproduction, are on NEM 1.0, your daily miles are 150 or less and you never have to rely upon a charger outside of your garage.

I have never sat at a supercharger for longer than 40 mins and that was 11% to 100 on a road trip.

Sorry you had other manufactures attempts at electric vehicles. However for a Tesla none of what you posted is true.

Keyword “supercharger”! And not every charging station has one my friend, although Tesla does a great job offering them

You clearly have an agenda we get it. Read the whole article. States its driver behavior and conditions, and has nothing to do with the car safety.

" The study’s authors make clear that the results do not indicate Tesla vehicles are inherently unsafe or have design flaws. In fact, Tesla vehicles are loaded with safety technology; the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named the 2024 Model Y as a Top Safety Pick+ award winner, for example. Many of the other cars that ranked highly on the list have also been given high ratings for safety by the likes of IIHS and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, as well.

So, why are Teslas — and many other ostensibly safe cars on the list — involved in so many fatal crashes? “The models on this list likely reflect a combination of driver behavior and driving conditions, leading to increased crashes and fatalities,” iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer said in the report. “A focused, alert driver, traveling at a legal or prudent speed, without being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, is the most likely to arrive safely regardless of the vehicle they’re driving.”

Tesla owners as the OP of thread don’t stop at none Tesla chargers. Unless it’s in a lot you can hook up to while eating/shopping. Any lengthy road trip your mapping superchargers.

Moral of your story don’t buy none Tesla EV’s u less you plan to 220 at home.

You may want to work on your reading comprehension and the resources you’re trusting.

Might I suggest rereading the entire article you presented and not just the clickbait title?

tesla or any EV vehicle for that matter
[/quote] so don’t feel attacked and keep enjoying your Tesla :joy:

Moral of the story being that infrastructure just isn’t where it should be to supply charging demands across any brand.
