Just secured a loan for a buyout with DCU at 5.99% for 65 months.

Process was quick and painless, membership and loan were approved on day 1, loan was finalized on day 2 and check will arrive at Volvo Financial Services on day 3. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and competent.

Hey folks, I’m looking to buy out my car lease and wondering if anyone has up to date recommendations for a good credit union in the Bay Area for financing? Thanks in advance!

How did they give you 60 months at 3.3%?

Published rate is 4.05%

Member 1st website also says you must be a member of a member group. How did you join?

They have something called Green loan for EV and Hybrid vehicles purchase. 1% discount. Mine is 3.3 is because of 100% funding. If you do 80% LTV gets another 0.25 or so.

And were you a member of a member groupV

Actually don’t recollect but they added me to a member group! Best is to call them and check them out.

Any recommendation or experience for an auto loan for self-employed?

If you scroll up to the first post in this thread is where the spreadsheet is and it auto-populates for the most part.

Lowest rate that I can get so far is 4.49% for new/used cars that includes payroll deposits from American Airlines credit union. Did anyone find luck with much lower rate ?

yes there are a few in this thread already. ussenatefcu is one.

I don’t meet eligible criteria for both. AA employee and ussfcu. So, seems DCU is only option - 5.99%

Thank you. I am not a citizen. So,won’t qualify. I am going to try Lafayatte. They advertised 5.00% as lowest with additional 0.25% if I open recurring payroll deposits

Currently unable to view the rates as I am still waiting on approval and the sheets don’t include any rates, is it possible to see the rates for a 60/72month auto loan with a credit score of 720+?

I think they patched the method I was using or modified it. I’ll take a look when I get to breathe

Try here for a 4.24/4/74% APR for 60/72:

Appreciate it thanks! Is that so far the lowest you’ve seen for a new loan for 60/72 assuming Tier 1 credit?
