The Best Finance Rates & Hacks! Submit your CU recommendations!

CACCU has this fine print:

“Published rate includes a 0.50% APR relationship pricing discount (0.15% for an active CACCU Checking Account, 0.15% for automatic payment transfer, and 0.20% for a CACCU VISA Credit Card or CACCU Line of Credit).”

I think you need to have all three types of accounts/payment (checking, auto pay, VISA/LOC) to get the last .5% on the published rates. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Yikes I didn’t catch that one - a checking account and automatic payment transfer is easy enough, but that CUCC or LOC will be a kick.

Yep, stuff like this is always buried!

Their rewards card is so bad they don’t even bother trying to explain the earning structure or how much a reward point is worth, but it appears that you definitely won’t be getting cash back.

But, hey, you can get a limit up to $15,000!! :joy:

So you can become a member at BC3 through the Armco loan application?

I went through the application process last week. I live in Worcester County. I have not received any confirmation that my application was approved. I am going to give them some time. I am in no rush but just wanted to join for the low rates.

On a side note, I am a member of another credit union, US Alliance Financial. Their auto loan rates are not competitive at the moment.

You can become a member of BC3 via the Armco membership application process.

AAEC Credit Union- NW suburbs Chicago- 4.6% on 60 months. Approval within 1-2 days.

Another one for LHers living in the Chicago suburbs- you can live or work in the area bordering the info below.

The website shows higher rates, but they will shave of 1% or more of the rates when you call and ask. The process was quick and done in 1 business day. I got my loan through them and if anyone wants PM me and I can give you some contacts, though going direct works too.

Eligibility- pay $25 to open account and below requirement
Anyone who resides or works in our general geographic area defined by the Illinois/Wisconsin border on the north, to US 90/US 39 on the west, to US 80 then US 294 on the south, to US 294 to IL 19 (Irving Park Rd) to Lake Michigan on the east.

@HersheySweet - Thank you for your sheet. Please add on your next update.

Isn’t Tower better at 2.99 for 60 months?

Better by 0.20% for 60 months but is then 0.05% worse for 72 months ,0.25% worse for 0-36 months and 0.54% worse for 73-84 months

I closed a purchase with tower, and they’ll knock .25% off on the rate if you use the ‘trucar car buying service’ … which is really nothing more than seeing if the car you’re buying is listed on trucar. I had already found my vehicle (18’ Lexus LX) but I just happened to look on the trucar link from tower’s site, and there it was, so boom, .25% off.
