AmerCU rate updates seems are not caught

Can you show me? Their site still shows the same Current Rates - AmeriCU Credit Union. Apply today! 800.388.2000

Also AmeriCU offers ballon loans through afg at 1% above normal loan rate

I’m going with 3.24% at 84 months and waived payments for 90 days from AmeriCU. I really like the agent who replies to every email or call so quickly. kenneisha.watts@americu.org

This is what is in sheet

AmeriCU
as low as 2.24%
as low as 2.24%
as low as 2.24%
as low as 2.24%
as low as 2.49%

And this is what is on their website. So basically 60 and 72 month rates are a bit up

Up to 48 as low as 2.24%
49-60 months as low as 2.49%
61-72 months as low as 2.74%
73-84 months as low as 3.24%

Ran into same issue with these guys…they approved my loan but only for 75K…I’ve leased and bought several $100k and over cars. Over 770 credit score…

If I remember correctly while doing the online app…it kept giving me an error message when I put any amount over $75k for a loan.

To be honest, they raised rates in the last few days and I don’t think I’d go with them anymore anyways…

You unlikely to find better rate. Amount was not good for me, but rate 1.49% for 72 months was excellent at current market.

Some credit unions do want scores in the 810+ range. Should contact before applying.

Oh okay I see wants wrong. Thank you!

I mean, yeah, the rate is good…but if it’s not for the amount needed it’s pointless.

To be fair, the average new car purchase is like what mid high 40s before ttl…

Considering 75k is close to double that number, a 75k cap will only affect a small number of people that are financing higher end cars.

The amount of interest paid on 100% financing for vehicles over $100K can be a very big number. I usually put 20% down… which extends that buying power even further… YMMV

Killer rate. Term, amount, and credit score?

Applied with Fedchoice over weekend - got notice they pulled my credit now I’m waiting…. Haven’t heard a peep.

You can join after approval right ?

Yes, you select how you will join in the application process. Donating to the tangerine foundation or something. They also ask if you joining is dependent on the loan being approved or not. Overall super easy application process so far. Just super quiet….

Hah I wonder if they frown on apps where you say yes I only want to join if you approve

So actually seems it is not rule of a thumb, got approved very quickly with AmerCU for 107k at 2.74%. Rate is of course worse than FedChoice, but absolutely no questions asked about not having high loan balances.

Interesting. I heard once your credit is pulled for an auto loan you have 30 days to ‘shop around’ without it impacting your credit. Anyone know if that’s true? I have a + 800 credit score and just hate applying for anything…… but maybe I also feel like I should look around a bit while I wait to hear from them. BofA was my fall back plan until they raised their rates within the last week or so.

So you will get a few point drop on the first application, but you won’t feel as steep of that when you reapply within that time frame. Addtl, if you are at 800, I promise you the initial drop isn’t going to hurt your score for very long at all.

My dad did 2 Volvo leases about… 6 months apart, and tracking his score it went down a few points, went back up, and actually got even higher to an 830 from an 810 prior to the first lease.
