I’ll add it to the scraper sheet, but a few CUs still handily beat their rates.

Correct, the rates are not the best, but I think they accept anyone from anywhere.

Any special requirements for the lowest rate for 96 months? 2.94% that’s cheap!!

I know some CU require insurance thru them (wescom does this)

Looks like it’s for a standard auto loan not the balloon though

The CapEd loan rate table can be very misleading. 2.94% is the 24 month rate. It will go up as the term length increases. Balloon loan is usually 1% higher.

@Bumboola 2.94 for 96 seems unreal is why I asked

I’d do the 96 month at 2.94 any day

I’ve been using Credit Union of NJ, rates are very competitive but require 20% down.

at this point banks aren’t even that far off. Bank of America is doing 3.79 and if your a platinum member it’s .50% off the rate, so 3.29% which is better than a lot of CU’s and the approval process takes like 60 seconds

@trism also suggested adding banks, I’ll gladly do so if people can send me rates.

This is for “up to” 60 months. Good luck with getting the rate for 72 without applying first.

I actually went to the bank and had confirmed with 2 people

Who wants to go to a branch or apply to find out the rates? I called and they wouldn’t give it to me.

When we used Bank of America we ended up with a lower rate than they were advertising at the time.

It was also extremely easy compared to the institutional lethargy and the Byzantine processes you will suffer with most credit unions.

were you a gold or platinum member? That usually drops the rate and how long was your term?

Yes, Platinum Honors.

I think we did 60 months.

My 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is almost here (estimated delivery 7/21-28) and I figured i’d come back to the smartest auto-money forum on the web to figure out what the best financing options are these days.

My last few purchases were through USC Credit union and then via Vroom with Chase both 72m 2.99%.

Right now best i’ve seen is 3.24% for 72m at USC Credit union - For a variety of reasons I’m looking for a 60-72m range.

What have you guys seen in the past month or two as the best rates for top tier credit?

Wescom credit union. Check my auto finance thread, and attached spreadsheet.

As low as 2.28% for 72, last advertised. Give them a shot, you’re in LA county so you are eligible for membership.
