Probably overpriced, but I don’t think to that degree. At least compared to the competition. I don’t think it’s worth any less than a Tesla S plaid. The Tesla wins on range (but I don’t think the difference in range is all that important for 98% of EV buyers) and wins slightly on acceleration, but the Tesla interior is like a base Carolla. I’d rather have to stop one more time on the rare occasion that I use the EV for a road trip so long as ill fitting doors don’t rattle the entire drive
Edited to add that I meant to respond to the post suggesting it is worth 75k. Your numbers are probably closer.
Let them have it because they’re going to realize nobody trying to buy an 237 estimated range EV at 95-100k. When they get sub 90k that’s when things start to get good. They just don’t know that yet.
So the cool thing with this used one I bought was it came with Electrify America charging for free. 3 years and was bought in Feb 2022 so I get till Feb 2025 worth of free charging.
I charged in Baker, Bakersfield, kettleman. Could had made it home with just a quick stop in kettleman but I was dropping off my cousin so I needed the extra charge. This thing charges so quick, way faster then my model 3.
It seems to me that is isnt LH’s fault, but Audi’s own fault. Around 30k in very public / advertised inentives. A decent discount and then youre looking at close to 1/3 off msrp fairly easily.
The rv issue is also Audis doing. But it is the little LH tips that make it silly good instead of really good
It will be interesting to see how this shakes out when the stop sale releases the remaining 23’s back into the wild. Dealers may think that all the inquiries will amount to sales but these are inquiries from people expecting LH-type deals. Let’s see how they are feeling at the end of this month and then again at the end of November…
It’ll be interesting to see what RV, MF, and incentives look like in November if the recall cars aren’t released until then. Sounds like Costco rebate will be gone in Nov., so there’s one less negotiating piece.
From all this, if you want 10% off MSRP, they want to use the innovator program. You lose Costco and PenFed. If you don’t want the that. They only offer 7 - 8% off MSRP if you want Costco and PenFed.
Most of the dealers I dealt with have mark up rates. A whole percent .00363:(
There may not be a reason other than the dealer thinks they can sell it to someone else without also offering Pen Fed on top of the other rebates/discounts. It may not be a “does it or does it not stack” quandary for them.
I’m in same boat - if dealer would apply all rebates that I qualify for (that do also stack), I’d have driven an RS to work today. They have declined…as is their right. But it’s a bummer for sure ha
I was certain that I don’t have anything heavy moving around in the trunk, but there’s some occasional clunking noises coming from the back of the car while accelerating, so I pulled over this morning to check again, just to be sure.
Nothing big enough to make that kind of noise. Plus… there’s the occasional, usually subtle, jerking sensation which accompanies the noise.
I have the configurable steering wheel button programmed to open my garage door.
When I press it, a message pops up on the center screen that says something like, “Press to send to Garage Door 1.”
But I’ve already pressed the steering wheel button.
Then if I touch the message on the screen it re-sends a command to the garage door, now in upward motion, and the garage door starts to close.
And after a run of several days with no issues, the trunk isn’t opening/closing properly again.
And the problem’s gotten worse.
Now when the trunk refuses to latch properly (currently nearly 100% of the time), the car won’t lock.
Appreciate these updates. Reenforces my position that the GT isn’t worth what these dealers want for them unless they’re willing to apply all applicable incentives. Awesome looking car - but impractical and now these inconveniences (I hear the trunk issue is pretty widespread).
I would love to hear from owners living in a cold weather area (I am in the Northeast) about whether their range has drastically gone down. I know we have not yet had really cold weather yet, but I am curious since I might consider a GT once the lease on my A6 is up next May.
Last month I picked up a GT premium plus (based on the info from this thread).
I didn’t get the same killer deal as listed here but was still a huge savings between discounts (dealer discount 10.5%) & rebates (Audi, lease EV, and Costco). I can post up calculator later.
I had driven quite a few e-vehicles. The only one that really excited me was the e-tron. Looks great, handles like a sports car and has plenty of power.
I don’t care as much about range as I have other vehicles for family road trips.
I have had 0 issues and love it.
IMO it’s was built as a GT car that added an electric drivetrain vs a car built around an electric drivetrain. (If that makes sense).
