Apparently not.
Just got one, thoughts vs. my BMW:
- The seat moves back when you open the door for entry and egress, fine, but why doesn’t the steering wheel also move? I know I should just lose some weight but it would cost them nothing to make this happen.
- The 360 degree camera has the image quality of a Nintendo Gameboy. I may as well just use the ultrasonic sensors.
Someone earlier mentioned that there was no hard button for the garage door opener, which is true, but once you set it up you can have the button pop up on the screen when the car detects you’re close to the garage door, so I don’t find that to be much of an issue.
Anybody else take advantage of the 6 month lease extension? It’s month to month for up to six months. Really nice to have that flexibility while looking for my next vehicle. And payment went from $799/month effective (one pay) during initial term to $690/month for extension period.
I’m doing the same.
Are there some magic words to use with Audi FS to get the extension at a reasonable # that’s close the the one-pay effective monthly? I just called and they quoted me $3545/mo ![]()
Yup, no go for those of us that did 1-pay, otherwise I would have extended mine, or taken advantage of the current deals on a new '24 before jumping into the Taycan
My extension was approved following a one pay lease. They just did the math on total of scheduled payments divided by # of months to determine monthly payment over next 6 months.
sorry if someone already posted this but I don’t think there’s a discussion topic on the new 2025 e-tron GT (not available in USA yet just in Europe)
I think they changed the wheels- looks a whole lot better than the star shaped ones. I’m hating on the touch sensitive buttons. Really wish they kept the physical ones. Overall - it doesn’t look like to big of a refresh in regards to looks— 175K british pounds or $225k,000 USD…
2 videos related to this refresh.

all, I wanted to give you a small update on my total loss situation and then re-leasing another RS e-tron GT.
I picked up my 1st 2024 RS-GT in June
Totaled Sept, 2 payments into it (did not make the 3rd payment, more on that…)
A few things:
-AudiFS (VW Credit INC is technically the lender) will refund you the difference in Insurance payment, minus base payments you’ve made against the gross capitical cost on the contract.
-If you total your car before the next payment is due, and the insurance is still settling the payout and it passes the payment due date, they will not assess a late fee until it’s 29days late, even though the grace period is 10 days. In addition, once the payment is received to the lender, they will back-date it to the total loss date. Late payments are not reported if its within that 29 days, or if it does exceed that 29 days, they will reverse any late fees and reverse negative reporting. The total loss department gives you the scoop vs the normal customer service line which will give you the standard “we will report you if you are more than 10 days late”, but you can only speak to them with a total loss case #. I was technically 17 days late…but did not run into issues, nor did a I receive a demand for payment call.
Surprisingly, because there wasn’t a comp model during my time of loss, they paid what VW’s “buyout” was, which was surprisingly ABOVE the $165,690 MSRP.
I was not expecting anything back from VW Credit considering I’m not the official owner (they technically are and I’m just renting from them). I was hoping they would do the right thing, and sure enough, they did. They could have easily kept the overage, which is a good chunk of change.
To be fair, the contract does state the above, however I thought it would have been a legal battle and some hoops, but thank you VW Credit for restoring faith in the process.
They didn’t do jack because it’s the right thing to do. They followed the contract and/or what state law mandated.
They’ve retained the excess amount on other total losses when it was legal for them to do so.
Glad things worked out for you, but no one else should be restoring their faith in anything except the law.
I’m just happy I didn’t have to go through legal hoops and type a demand letter tbh, it was a relief.
Did they send you a quote in e-mail or did you call them?
Called them
this is good info- thank you for sharing
Have you gotten anything in writing yet? Not sure how they came up with that number since the rebates have been used already.
Yes, it’s all been confirmed in writing and my online account reflects correct payment amount for the next six months. It’s not a new lease so rebates do not play a role - they simply use the same monthly payment that you had during your initial lease term and extend those out.
Edited to add: did you call Audi/VW Financial? It was all done for me in a 5 minute phone call and they gave me the #s right over the phone.
Has anyone else noticed new behavior after a recent software update?

The front proximity sensors seem to be a lot more sensitive. The warning light in the dash comes on prematurely at freeway speeds, and once when I stopped behind another car at a light, the audible alert sounded continuously and the only way to shut it up was to shift into Park. In general, warnings are more frequent and often completely unnecessary.
-
I now have an informational warning about needing to address recall 47UP. Problem is, I had that addressed by the Audi dealer about 30 days ago.
-
There is now a privacy warning on the main screen every time I start the car. This can be turned off, but I don’t want to forget to figure out what the settings do, and how I want to set them, so I’ve left it on for now.
Welcome to LH. Make sure to pay the fee and register as a dealer.
2025 is out for US
With mostly similar programs but no lease cash other than $7500
No 12 mo either ![]()
