Test Driving Lamborghini in Michigan

Hey Guys, I was wondering if anybody has had any experience purchasing and test driving a Lamborghini for a MI dealership? That’s where I’m located. I think I’m in a position to acquire a nice weekend car, but am torn between the Urus, Wraith, and Hurracanè, I’ve driven the Wraith before a few times and would like to see how different the Hurracanè would be in ride quality. My concern with the Urus is all the Q7 parts, I had that vehicle and wasn’t a fan. What are your opinions between these 3 vehicles? Also I’m fortunate to have a good fleet of cars at home already. Would driving to the dealership in my 2020 M5 help in getting a possible test drive or should I call ahead and book an appointment? I really can’t comprehend buying a $300K car without being able to test drive. What do you guys recommend?

I don’t think I’ve ever been flexed on this hard on a leasing forum before :sleepy:

Asking how a huracan and a wraith differ in ride quality, that’s a new one.

This is reason number 1 of countless reasons why I wouldn’t test drive him if I was a salesperson lol

I think apples to oranges is too tame in this scenario, it’s more like comparing apples to horses.

He’s mad about the urus and “q7 parts” but the rsq8 is the complement to the urus, wait until he hears about the bentayga.

I actually quite like the Urus, fun daily but also pretty comfortable. I’m still trying to understand who would want a Wraith as a “weekend car”

Also, the interesting spelling of “Huracan” in this post lol

Like the Lamborghini Supbolte DCFC Edition :smiling_imp:

Gotta flex that roley while in your rolls.

I thought the spelling was a forgone conclusion, the a has the accent, there’s no E.

He picked 3 different types of vehicles here, an exotic, a fast daily and a slow cruiser. Makes no sense to cross shop the 3 for a weekend.

Subtle flex on the m5 too, definitely gonna catch the eye of a lamborghini salesman.

I’m sure the salesperson will be very pleased when OP rolls up in a lease special M5 and starts grilling him for a $1,500 payment and demand base MF

Also, to add some substance to this post. Exotic market is insane right now, if you get anything less than MSRP I’d be genuinely surprised.

I can’t even imagine rolling up to an exotic dealership and expecting to test drive a $300k vehicle without an appointment. If they did even allow a walk in to test drive a $300k vehicle, it would only because they expect, as a walk-in, that they’re going to be able to hit you with every extra and dollar of mark up humanly possible.

I technically stole my car (15k below wholesale) off a friend that was going to ground his lease. That number is more than what the car was listed for retail a year ago. Let’s hope the bubble doesn’t pop any time soon :cowboy_hat_face:

$1500 huracan sounds nice, count me in :rofl:.

Really no negotiating at the moment but you already said that.

Like a celebrity perhaps?

The svj? Any plans to flip?

Yea that sort of nonchalance (rolling up with no appointment but expecting to be allowed a test drive) only happens in circumstances where the salesperson is expecting the buyer to come in with absolutely no price consideration whatsoever and be willing to pay whatever price the salesperson asks without question. “Here, call my accountant and let them know the price, they’ll handle the payment.”

The Aventador SV is the car that got me into exotics so it’s been my dream to own one for a minute. Drove it to work yesterday and had some fun.
