Tesla Ordering Tips - And Most Other Reasonable Things Tesla [but no more]

amazing that when he does it, it’s just passing on the costs to consumers. when other manufacturers do it (and i don’t mean dealers), it’s gouging.

Buuutttt it’s because it’s transparent!!!

Lmao wonder how the woke people feel about him possibly endorsing DeSantos for president.

Many fanboys have turned away from Musk in light of him leaning politically right.

Gotta pay for the blue bird somehow

They already didn’t like him for being extraordinarily rich so no love lost there. :grinning:

Fair-weather fans. :baseball:

Was literally gonna earlier this week, now feel like an idiot ordering…

I’m gonna say it at this point: If you can live without the Tesla network and are in it for the long run, seek alternatives.

That’s a big if. Other charging networks are just not built up enough yet.

Why should I be in it for “the long run”? I’m not an investor, I want a car that works for me in the best possible way now. When the alternatives catch up, I will consider them as well.

The long run as in actually keeping the car long term which seems to be antithetical to the running theme of this thread.

Do they not do white interior demos anymore or are they just really rare? Haven’t seen one for quite a while at my location

Great, hopefully MMR and resale prices that have been falling will go up some.

They’re very rare, most of them come with the black interior. I had a chance to tag a red one with white interior yesterday from NorCal, but my wife was not so keen on a fart demo car. Our EDD is September/October so she wants to wait.

Or take a new canceled order in her color combo, which is never going to happen.

Re: Driveway, I just pushed “accept” on their offer yesterday and they haven’t reached out yet - but I’m assuming no, they haven’t gotten their stuff together.

Re: the price increase, I never time these things well - I got in our MY order before the last major price increase, so this is just gravy - but this is a long-term keeper vehicle for us.

The 3 and Y are going to cost as much as a taycan by the time they’re done with these price increases.

i will take Taycan and EQS over model Y/3 and even Model S/X
the price is ridiculous now and i am not sure FSD makes up that.

the awd variant of either of those cars costs far more than an S/X…theyre not in the same class.

if you add FSD, both S/X are close to $130k. which is the starting price for EQS580, but the $7500 tax credit is still in play for EQS. i just think ModelS/ X being close to $130K is ridiculous.
starting price of Model X in January of 2021 was $89,990, it is $120,999 today. i picked January of 2021 because that’s when the refresh started. i don’t know another car factory increased price by 33% in 1 year and 6 months on the same car.
