I didn’t. Those won’t be available for several months. Said early 2024. I did a dual motor so it would arrive this month.
so you can see the Ford that’s pulling you out of the ditch better, smart
Cybertruck stuck off-road in the snow : r/interestingasfuck (reddit.com)
Found on road dead.
- At least it was still on the road
- dead weight is still more functional as a winch anchor than CT trying to get a Christmas tree. Why is RC CTs always travel with Ford trucks as backups?
But I get it, when they say “offroad” for CT they mean hopping a curb by accident in a mall because you can’t see over the blindspots.
If you have a CT and you need a Tow, you are screwed, it’s not designed to be towed, or off roading…lol

CT has multiple recovery points, including two on the front. You just have to not be a dumb Tesla employee and install the chassis mounted hooks prior to off-roading in the snow.
This was a pre-produciton truck on all season tires, no recovery hooks installed, and locker not engaging due to software issue.
With that said, I wouldn’t take the CT offroad besides a gravel road. These things are mall crawlers.
The instagram post makes it seem like it was 2 days ago, are you saying it’s older than that?
Any CT with RC on the side stands for release candidate. Release candidate is common terminology in software development, refers to software being tested prior to release to public. Basically these are test vehicles testing future software revisions.
Fords been balsy lately.
- Publicly thanked Elon for sharing their 48V architecture
- Sponsered Sandy Munro deep dive with executives who lead the Cybertruck program
- Just got free press by demonstrating how Cybertruck rules social media tests, while Ford rules the real world something something.
The clicks and discussion of these on both automakers forums are gonna be $$$$.
I think Ill hold onto my F350 Diesel a few more years
Likewise as to my Ram 3500 diesel.
In 20 years with no rust and a rebuilt transmission it will be worth $1,000,000 even with 750k miles on it.
