Tell me if I got bent on my 24 lyriq

Just signed it yesterday, I made a rookie mistake and told them a payment I was okay with. I confronted them about the MF and they said that’s what it’s currently for GM lease.

Anything I can learn for next time?

Who cares about the Money Factor if you have a payment that you’re OK with.

But why TF were you OK with an effective $860 payment on a lyric loaner?

My wife liked it so I gave in

You need to give out. Be okay with $400-$550 max. There are others on here that got sub $300 with little to nothing down.

Jesus Christ, they bent you over really good.

Nothing you can do at this point just enjoy the car.

I’m very wealthy (1%) so it’s not going to break me but I just HATE losing a deal

Can you help me understand what I could have done better?

Established a well-researched target deal and then made the dealer an offer instead of asking them how much they want you to pay and overpay by thousands.

As always, if you go into the conversation with the dealer without knowing what the deal should be, you are begging the dealer to make a deal that is in their best interest.

First off, enjoy the car! What we say here shouldn’t take away from the joy of purchasing a car that you and your wife love. The bright side is that this experience can serve as a valuable learning lesson. Thankfully, it’s not a 60 or 72-month loan, so you’ll be out of the car before you know it.

In the future, consider creating a worksheet outlining your ideal terms. Be sure to negotiate with the dealer as much as possible, which might take a few days or even weeks. Some dealers may come back with a better deal after you’ve had time to negotiate.

Also, you can hire a dealer from the Marketplace section to handle all the work for you.

According to yahoo finance: “To be part of the top 1% in the U.S., a household’s net worth needs to be at least $13.6 million.”

Never tell internet strangers you’re a “1%er” because you’re about to be subjected to many memes.

This may be a first for this fine forum

I’m pretty sure they are trolling but if not that might be the grossest post I’ve seen here and there’s been a few of them.

Are you talking about income instead of wealth (net-worth)?

OP mentioned wealth, not high income. If I were in either top 1%, I would not get a leftover 24 loaner.
