I have an Illinois dealer seemingly willing to do Bacons deal on a '26 Cadillac Vistiq, but how would I handle Ohio’s upfront tax? Would/Can I just pay that myself here in Ohio as a lump sum?

A IL dealer should know how to handle OH taxes. Did you ask them?
