All, I’m in the process of transferring my Porsche one pay lease on Swapalease (had it listed here too). The person has been patient and were approved but now they want to pay when picking up the car. It was made clear to the person that I would collect the money before signing. Once I sign the papers, the car and PFS account are theirs.
Anyone been in this situation and how did it go? I’d rather not start the process over but I do have a deep waitlist.
Propose an escrow service if you want, stress that once you sign, there is nothing you can do to stop the car from becoming legally theirs.
I believe @trism used a company called KeySavvy as an escrow service and was happy with the outcome.

I’ve used KeySavvy for a purchase and was very happy with them. It was very seamless and easy to use.
They’re aware of the process. As a compromise I suggested half up front and rest upon pickup but no go yet.
Seems to be for buying and selling only. KeySavvy says they act as a dealer, purchase the car then transfer it to the buyer.

Edit: they don’t do lease transfers unless it’s a buyout of a lease. They actually buy the car out and act as a dealer in between the two parties as mentioned on their site.
do not sign anything untill you have the money if they’re refusing then walk away from deal
Yeah, not doing that and it’s odd they don’t want to do half before and half after.
Use the next person from your long list.
You mentioned about the rules , they did credit app knowing that. Do not waste your time with people like that.
Already on it and let’s just say it’s interesting that people don’t understand how one pay leases work. I’ll put up here again when I get a chance but I might just end up keeping it with the hassle.
If you have options any bump in the road, move onto the next.

Not too concerned about that honestly, cars already paid for and was just looking to get back into something bigger. I can wait a few more months if I need to.

Thanks, it looks like we are moving forward with the half and half approach so let’s see. Will keep this escrow site in mind for the future.
Still i would get some simple email or text that the balance will be provided at the time of transfer.
