LeaseHackr Forum, especially the Deals & Tips and Marketplace sections, is far superior to the Lease Transfer sites like Swapalease and Lease Trader. These services want you to pay, whether you’re a buyer or a seller, and their customers listing prices are crazy high. In most cases, you can lease new for less than what it will cost you to take over someone else’s lease.
I think there are a lot of people that got into bad leases over on Swapalease. The folks with transfers here know this is a tough crowd. Plus a lot of us bought in at a good price and are just looking to move onto something else.
I’ve had good experiences with SAL. Listed a car here once for transfer … no action for weeks. Paid $100 to put it on SAL and someone took it within days. It’s a bigger marketplace for people specifically looking for transfers. Sure there are people who put up crappy leases but you gotta find the gems. This site really isn’t meant for lease swapping so there aren’t that many listings.
On top of what 305 said this is a forum where people can critique lease postings and you see it constantly. The SAL community with their 600/m for a 3 series lease aren’t going to get anywhere here. Its much easier to sell it there since its more private.
