SUV lease options below $400

Hi All,

First time post long time follower !

I am in the market for an SUV lease below $400/month (including taxes), with 0$ down payment. Given the crazy car market, I wanted to ask the LH community for options that I can look at. No preference on the make and model as long as it meets the below requirements:

  1. Safety features - forward collision braking, lane change assist, Adaptive cruise control
  2. Leather Seats (leatherette would be fine) (no cloth seats )
  3. AWD

Thank you in advance!

I am in the same market for my in-laws. Pretty much nothing exists unless you have $10k+ upfront for a Nissan Rogue one pay with MSDs that you know you will have completely negative equity in after 18 months and ready to pay the disposition fee, or at least that’s what I am discovering.

Yeah the Rogue is definitely one of the cars on our list. But the negative equity does make me pause for a while

Even then, I am not sure it is even under $400 a month but I haven’t done the math on it. And if it is under that price, definitely doesn’t have leather nor awd I don’t think, nor factor in the shipping costs if you can’t find one local.

Do you live in SoCal or WA state? The taxes alone will be $40-45 a month in SoCal. I don’t think there is a car that fits your ambitious criteria. Why do you need a AWD SUV?

I live in WA state (hence the AWD) but I do travel to SoCal often so I am not averse to picking up a car and driving it back

Which of the criteria do you think I need to drop to help fit within my budget ?

SUV, AWD and leather.

Pretty much all of them although you just might squeeze into an Altima with AWD and leather for +/- $400.

I have a kid; so ideally would have like to have an SUV. I have been an Altima owner before; so know can’t go wrong with it. Thanks for the suggestion

Might be able to stretch your budget if you can get an 84 month loan from Honda and buy a crv awd. Not sure if you have money for a decent down payment or to make an extra pure principal payment a year, but you can always sell it at anytime and not really have to worry about negative equity if you can knock that principal down as much as possible even a few extra bucks a month helps.

You can get into a Chevy Trax for $400/mo and first payment due at signing.
No leather, AWD Or adaptive cruise.

You would probably be better of purchasing a sub $30K vehicle and then financing for 84mo.

Totally get the SUV thing, but we drove a kid around in a C63 AMG 4 door for many years. Trunk was surprisingly big and when we had to bring other stuff we went up top.

This was on a trip to Area 51 (2nd picture, back gate with warning sign), Vegas and Death Valley a few years back:

You could probably land on a $450-500 - 2023 Rubicon 4xe with leather, ACC and collision warning if you were on Northeast. But with your location it’s a no go.

You could get a Hyundai Venue. Whether you consider than an SUV is another question. Also I think they’re FWD only.

And not sure how well a car seat would fit.

Seems like they redesigned this car. Thanks for bringing this to my notice

Looks at a cx30 if you can negotiate a deal

Very cool. Did Area 51 as well. Went to the other gate. Tried to get where you were but road was rough and didn’t want to ruin the rental. Little A’Le’Inn was awesome too.

On the SUV front, take a look at the deals that leasehackr has preset. Might be worth your while.

Ask for Kent

He gives discounts on orders according to JL Forum. Maybe he will do the same on the ones sitting on the lot. Also go to jeep.com and get a $1000 private offer coupon.

I used a Seattle zipcode see below.
