I am looking at signing a 36mo / 12k lease on a Premium Plus Season of Audi A4.
MSRP - $47,475
Sale Price - $43,155 (9% off)
Audi Incentives - $2,981.72 ($2,500 + 1st Month)
Adj. CAP - $40,173
MF - .00073
Residual - 53%
Down - $500 cash or so from Trade-In
Doc Fee - $100
Acq Fee - $895
MN Sales Tax - 6.5%
Lic/ Reg - $545 (or so)
This comes in at $541/ month, zero-drive off.
I have been trying to find better deals out there at local Audi dealers throughout MN/WI and one in IL. But no such luck. I really want to get this down further, but the dealer has seemed to have slowed on what they are willing to adjust. BMW and Infiniti don’t seem very competitive on pricing right now so I am not getting good leverage with that.
The sales manager shared with me how much they are loosing on the vehicle, and that they only make their bonus on volume. He seems very interested in making the sale.
Any thoughts on where I should go with this next to get them down more? This is my first time negotiating a lease this aggressively. We started at over $600/ mo no cash down. This is their third revision.
I received this email while looking into a Giulia. I didn’t take it because I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with my last A4, but PM me for his contact info.
Have you considered looking at dealerships further away from home? I have no personal experience, but I believe there have been plenty of posts about double digits discounts of MSRP in Chicagoland.
Thanks all, yes the .00073 is a bit deep. Their cost on the MF is .00033 so there is a substantial markup. They do not seem willing to move on the MF number.
I contacted a dealer in Chicagoland he offered 9% of MSRP and a .00091 MF. I asked him to revise his offer.
Thanks for the Edmunds link! Definitely missed that in my search. I will also now be paying the plate fees upfront, great suggestion.
I’m going to ask for further CAP cost reduction to get me to the dealership tonight.
Got a deal signed on Saturday morning. Focusing on CAP cost reduction was most effective, the dealer did not move on the inflated MF.
MSRP - $48,050
Adj. Sale - $42,805 (10.9% off)
Audi Incenttives - $2,500 + 1st month
Paid $550 up front for plates and registration, added AudiCare which bumped up he RV +1%. Monthly was $502.90 ($512 and some change with AudiCare rolled in).
Sorry, wasn’t a dealer in NJ I was in Minneasota. Feel free to give them a call and see if they will ship? Audi St. Paul in Minneasota, Steve was my sales guy, really good and very easy to work with.

Hope that helps. Love the car so far! 300 Miles in!
I can tell you from my search in NJ Mendham Audi was willing to do 11% off of a car they did not have in stock. They had to do a dealer swap for it (6spd manual). In the end they could not get the car but we had a deal signed for it. They tried to pull the invoice price thing. That was before the Audi incentives were added. So it would be about 17% off. They did not try to inflatexmkney factor either. Good luck in your search.
You have to ask over at Edmunds for that info. If you look in one of the replies above you will see a link for the A4. There is a thread like if forcthe S4 over there.
Thanks for the info. I went to the collection in coral gables. The msrp was $61,150. They were selling the vehicle for 53k. The residual value in August when I went was 57% for 36 months and 12k miles. I believe the money factor was inflated. It was 0.00151. With 3k of dealer fees rolled in plus $869 for audicare it was $792 a month sign and drive. I currently drive a 2015 m3 with an msrp of $20k more for $801 a month. I see forums all over with people paying in the $600’s for a 2018 S4 and am curious as to how they got there.
