This is an amazing deal considering that Toyotas and Subarus are still commanding MSRP for the most part. One of my neighbors bought this in the last year (higher model), and he paid a dealer markup. I’m not going to tell him that these are discounted now. It’s actually much bigger than it looks in pictures. I parked my Kona EV next to it, and it was much bigger inside and out.
He’s kind of one of those want-to-be-outdoorsy guy. He traded in his Outback for the Solterra. He’s actually taken it light offroading to Joshua Tree and a few other places. He says it performs really well, at least as well as his Outback. I use to take my Jeep Wrangler (with lockers and 35s) there. You don’t really need a 4x4 for most trails, but you do need some real tires. I remember seeing a lot of awd vehicles with passenger tires getting flats.
Anyways, the charging speed on this vehicle is previous gen - closer to that of my former Kona EV. It’s a niche vehicle - AWD with higher ground clearance than most EVs. And Seth is a stand up guy. I got a VW from him 5 years ago. You will pay $1789 up front, and then $377/mo plus taxes, and be in and out of the dealership in an hour. If I didn’t just lease a new vehicle last month, I would have picked this up already.
@anon65069371 While you know I appreciate your amazing offers. I am already at a net loser on this deal, so the $0 Down (plus driveoffs) $377 plus tax is firm. If you find anyone doing it better I would love to see it!
The $1789 DAS can be even by the $2k (or even more if one is eligible) CVRP rebate in California, so effectively you only pay $377 (or less) monthly, well below the 1% of the MSRP of $46k. Plus, Subaru gives a $500 charging credit on it. Amazing deal!
It’s like fishing, 100 nibbles and not a bunch of bites. We ended up selling 3 over the weekend. Only 5 Premiums and 3 Limited’s left. Who else wants one? Thanks to the Hacker Community.
