Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited 24 - good deal?

Apologies up front - I’ve never leased a car before and am doing a crash course in how this all works.

  1. What’s the money factor, residual, and lease/loyalty credits for a 2019 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited 24, 36/10k, zip 90045?

  2. This is the lease offer I was sent. There are things like money factor and residual that I don’t know (but now know I need to know thanks to this forum!).

I would strongly consider pricing out an identically equipped 3.6 Limited. The discounts available are comparable but the residual is much better.

All of the MF and residual information you’re looking for is available on Edmunds.

Hi what is the money factor, residual value and lease/loyalty credits for a 2019 Subaru Outback 3.6 Limited 36/18k zip 53066

Thank you for your help!

Joel

You’ll want to ask over on edmunds.

I don’t think Subaru even does 18K miles lease program, and if they did, your residual would be way too low and then you have to go back to white board to work out your $$ numbers and figure out if it still makes sense to lease versus buying it. Unless you want to lease because outback is rumored to get 2.4L turbo charged engine like Ascent and 3.6R outbacks loses its value in market.

Hi thanks you for your feedback, I am now just aware of money factor and residual value. In the past we have typically purchased more miles in when leasing.

Now with your comments, I should be looking at both lease and buy. Are there tips for buying certified pre own?

Thank you again!
