Y’all just stupid lucky than. I’ve emailef all over and nobody will do more than 1700 off on a touring. Vip puts it right at $4900 off right now. Beginning of May I’m putting in my 2020 order.
I’m in New Orleans. I got with all the dealers within a 8hour drive from here and nobody even hit 2k off. The dealer my crosstrek came from that did decent on the first ones on the lot when they first came out couldn’t even do it. But they did say they were fine doing a custom order with VIP.
I’d call Serramonte and see if they’ll ship. Never hurts to try. Also, make sure you’re calling the #1volume dealers in the adjacent states you’re reaching out to.
Usually a port area doesn’t truck to another port area lol. Before I got my crosstrek I looked at a Tacoma from NC and it was $1800. Diesel is crazy expensive on the west coast right now so I guess that does add to it.
Maybe see if you can order new (non-inventory) through Serramonte, and ship direct from factory to you or your local dealership? Seems odd that the best deal we’re seeing for an Ascent is in the SF bay area. This area is not known for its bargains.
I suspect there is something in there that’s California only. I’ve come across many cars that run massively cheaper out there but nowhere else. The volt leases I used to see were a good example of that.
Is this real?? Just asked Serramonte if they would replicate the deal for me as well. I live in southern CA. Here was the response -
“We are fined for selling outside of our Market Area, we do not mind selling the car as long as the customer is willing to pay the $1000 fine. We can tack it on to the selling price to make things easier, but this will obviously raise all the lease numbers.”
Wow that’s news to me, when was this implemented? Everyone used to go buy their cars at Heuberger Subaru because they blew everyone out of the water pricing wise.
