Storing deal data for better searchability?

Is there a legal obstacle to capturing deals in a structured format and storing them in a way that makes them searchable?
I feel that people could save a lot of time if they could search by various criteria. Perhaps we could even prevent newbies from posting deals with uselessly incomplete data by using structured entry forms.
We could still have the data embedded in discussions. I feel that discussions add a lot of value - most of the time, :). I am not suggesting this kind of feature separate from or instead of the forum topics.
Btw, I am a backend software engineer and would be willing to donate time, if this is something that can be explored.

We do have a lease database. It seems small though.https://leasehackr.com/leasecompare
