Stellantis has neither the conviction nor the bathwater to drown all the inbred parts-bin puppies its breeding program has wrought.

If they bring back the 4.0 straight 6 (which they won’t), they may have a shot lol

The 1980s called, they want their MPG back lol

Gas mileage is crazy nowadays.

I got given a Nissan Sentra for a rental because Enterprise didn’t have anything else left. I was fuming, car sucks + I paid for luxury, but it’s like $20 of gas for 200 miles of driving, I got 30mpg.

It’s not too far off of what I pay for EV driving ($13/200 miles)!

Granted, it’s a Sentra, but my last gas car was model year ‘07, so was shocking to see.

But what is the actual cost difference per mile. That doesn’t include the difference in registration, insurance, vehicle pricing, etc between the electric and traditional ICE. It would definitely be interesting to compare. I just renewed the registration on the 4xe and our state now charges an additional fee for hybrids. I remember there being discussion, but I guess I never realized it passed.

fwiw sorry to hear about your rental - I would’ve been HOT as well :joy: sometimes we just lose… you know how the rental world works

EV is almost always going to win cost-wise, because less moving parts. It is also cheaper the higher up the luxury scale you go, since you don’t need “premium” fuel to keep your vehicle going.

I was just very surprised at how efficient gas engines have gotten these days!

It’s funny how companies have “no intention of selling”… what nobody wants to buy.

Honestly Ferrari would be perfectly suited to buy Maserati and position it as an entry level/gateway brand to Ferrari ownership if they were so inclined. Gotta leave some room for the occasional MC20 but they could make “lower priced” cars without damaging the Ferrari brand in the process.

This is exactly how I feel.

I’ve had one or two of them, no real issues, and I’m looking at a 2018 Gran Turismo now that they’re around 50k.

The Ghibli was a terrible product at launch. It hurt the brand a lot. Nowadays, I think Levante is a decent SUV and fun to drive after the refresh and updates. All you hear is that the switch gear is from a Dodge. I tested an m850i and it had the same shit as a 330i.

Drop the V8 in there, get that old Maserati grumble back, and some help from Ferrari to smooth out the edges.
