Looking to lease a vehicle thru Stellantis and was wondering if Stellantis offers lease extensions? I know with Honda, Toyota and Audi i was able to get 12 months… was wondering is Stellantis offered this option… my payment its $20/mo cheaper with 24 mo than 36mo
Why not return the car after 24 months and lease something else?
Stellantis financial hasn’t been around long enough to have leases mature. So I wouldn’t count on anything as a sure thing. But if they’re clearly the best deal I’m sure there will be something to roll into come maturity time if they won’t.
Just remember they don’t let you sell it early if I remember right.
The 12 month extensions were largely a by product of Covid era policies…most are historically 6 months and as mentioned SFS hasn’t been around that long to make a determination.
Either way, since the policy is rarely in writing, it can be changed depending on the market conditions that most benefit the lessor.
For a short period of time, they werent allowing phevs to be bought out at all. Unless youre one of those lucky few with those contracts, early buyouts are just fine. They do charge higher rates depending on who you sell it to though.
You can sell to a CDJR dealer at the buyout price. I’ve done that with two SFS leases.
Not sure we have a data point of a non CDJR dealer sale but it would be at an inflated price most likely.
Sfs leases are supposed to be $1000 over buyout to preferred sfs cdjr dealers and $2-3k over buyout to non-preferred cdjr dealers, then msrket pricd to 3rd parties. Unless they rolled that back when they rolled back the no lease buyout rules too
Yes that was what the pdf said but in both cases including a deal a month ago the dealer I sold to was not charged a premium.
I’m guessing sfs being new they’re still learning their own rules.
Yah, they may updating rules in response to the market too
Yeah I can roll into something else… I’m curious if I have the option to extend to buy some time. Lease hacking takes time
