California Ford incentive question - I saw recent posts on Reddit that several EV incentives were stackable for EV leases. Specifically, there’s a $8,000 red carpet lease incentive, as well as a $8,000 x/a/d/z plan incentive (and a $2,500 cash incentive that may or may not be applicable to leases)
Question for the Ford experts: are these incentives actually stackable? I’m inclined to believe several dealers who say they can’t be stacked, but I need a sense check. I asked for the incentives broken out and it seems incentives can only be selected by group (8k RCL, 1k trade in, 1k x plan etc), at least per by one finance manager’s printout.
Obviously another $8k makes a huge difference, so wanted to double check. Thank you!
Generally, you can stack RCL cash with plan bonus cash, but you are forced to use the plan pricing, which is typically less then RCL cash plus the maximum dealer discount (7% to 11%) and no plan incentive. Other bonus cash, like conquest, loyalty and private offer, is not stackable (pick one).
I’m not sure I follow when you say that you’re forced to use plan pricing.
To put numbers to this to make sure I understand, x plan pricing on this particular MME is 49,214.51. Sticker is 49,985.21.
If I read your response correctly, I should theoretically be able to take the 8K RCL cash incentive + 8k X plan cash incentive on x plan pricing (49.2k) resulting in ~ 33k cap cost.
If so, that’s certainly lower than RCL cash 8k + dealer discount at 7% (~2.7k) resulting in ~ 38k cap cost
Seems like you follow. If it makes sense depends on the MSRP of your target vehicle, which was not exactly clear from your post. Ergo, we’ve seen more than $8K dealer discount on MME GTs. Going with plan pricing takes away all ability to negotiate, most of the time it’s not in your benefit.
Have asked the same thing in multiple places and no one gives me a straight answer, LH calculator shows they stack, I don’t think they do.
On the F150 Lightning XLT in my area its 10500 RCL cash and 10500 AXZD , which makes for an insane lease , even if the AXZD price is a bit higher than what you could negotiate.
I’m suspicious, because they are both the same amount, and believe it sounds too good to be true to waste my time messing with a dealer. I may try to call Ford AXZD and see if they can tell me if they combine, but I don’t have a program # for the RCL cash, only the axzd.
Nice to know I’m not the only one! I agree with you, it seems too good to be true and the equal amounts make it seem like an either/or situation. I’m going to do the same and see if corporate or ford plan CS folks can confirm or deny.
