Southern California Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL AWD question

Hi,

I live in the Southern California area and want to lease a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL AWD. Looking on this site, there were no AWD leases for my area.

I need some guidance on what should be my next steps. Should I look outside California and is there anything that I need to be aware of when signing an out of state lease?

Maybe there is a broker that can get AWD leases?

Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

Purely out of curiosity, why is the AWD a requirement?

I would suggest contacting each of the broker to see what inventory they have or could get later on.

Wanted AWD for safety during the winter. It is also nice to have the extra horsepower.

There are AWD deals contact the broker who’s doing the RWD and they should have an AWD deal. (Assuming stock)

They usually don’t publish those as they don’t want to spam their page with hundreds of models.
Just contact any broker who has a RWD deal.

There’s like 0 inventory in SoCal.

Then OP is going to have a fun time trying to find an AWD.

If there’s no inventory, you’ll just have to choose a different make and model

Given the mild winters in most of SoCal it is difficult to find AWD. If you need it for occasional trips to big bear etc, I suggest just getting a RWD and renting a 4x4 for the trip. At least that is what I do.

I would look at the XRT. It is AWD. I was able to get that through a broker(GCAuto) here a few months ago. There was plenty of availability in Socal at the time with multiple color choices. It was a pretty easy process with GCAuto (Sam helped me out).

I had the same thought. After looking, the XRT’s 259 mile range was not enough for me. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ioniq 9 SE?

My Wife would not want to drive such a long vehicle. Thanks for the suggestion.
